I know one side is left hand and one side is ride hand threads

Left hand threads (CCW) = DS
Right hand threads (CW) = PS

However, it doesn't REALLY make a difference which way it sits on the truck. It only affects whether you pull UP for adjustment or DOWN.

It does matter when you go to retap the threads in the ends.
They make both RH and LH tap threads and when you try to turn the LH tap backwards to make RH threads your gonna get Angry.
I got my tap on Ebay for about $22
