Would this ride be worth doing again? I didn't make the last one.

Of course....they are all worth doing.

If anyone needs GPS tracks to See Mississippi....lemme know. I can keep you busy all summer.

And your PhD is in? (besides the obvious doctorate in Cruisers)

Never finished it. ABD. Basically I gave up. Circumstances of life at the time.

My areas of interest were the intersections of human factors research, sociology, and the philosophy of science and technology.

Basically: useless.

Anyway, Cdan made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

And here I am now.

Life moves on whether you want it to or not.

When are we going to see your next Larry? You are working too hard.

:)

Onur,
It sounds like a very interesting mix. If you had finished that thesis, I am visualizing you as director of the Air & Space Museum in Washington. My goodness ... you are important and in the public eye regardless which door you open. Congratulations.

Work is definitely getting the best of me. No idea when I will get out again, but I am trying to get out and be the boring nerd that I do so well.

Happy 4th of July

This was my last full year of rockcrawling.

Too hot to wheel during the day we ran all the trails at night in Clayton. Was a blast.

Benbrook Texas LSLC ride

2001 or so. @JasonH may remember.

Kate had 5" Alcan custom springs that likely lifted it about 8" in truth. 2F, SM465, 3 speed case. Newfield Birfs that broke every trip.

38.5" Swamper SXs

Look at the wheels on the shackles lol

That sounds about right. Maybe even 2000. I remember TacoTim was with us and his truck is a 2000 model. I thought it was crazy at the time to be wheeling a brand new truck. No fxxxs were given by that young man.
I have some more Benbrook pics somewhere. Featuring the Kempers in that 55 they had.
