This is so bad ass!!

Apparently it's $2600 AED, or about $700 USD

SUPER AUDIO 13.3 – Read. Classifieds

I highly doubt it'll fit a 2013 cleanly, at least not without a big arse hammer or access to a 3d printer that you could use to customize a frame for it. Maybe 2016+ US-spec models?

The video does appear to have climate controls (at least driver and passenger temperature). Unclear if the DVD viewing also integrates with the rear entertainment or if it's just front viewing.

Looks spiffy. If I still have my LC when the 400 series comes out I might consider dropping $700 on it :-)

These are all over ebay. Seach "Land Cruiser android 12.1"

Sorry mate but I don't think it will work for you. I have the same setup albeit the Japanese variant.
I wish I'd known before I purchased the unit.
While I don't believe it's impossible, just haven't had a chance to figure out the wiring yet.

I will give it a try in the next week or so and revert.

It replaces this console almost perfectly, where the climate control is a separate unit:

Got mine for AED 1650 which is about $450, not too badly priced me thinks.

@ggiillss I would bet that the wiring for the version with physical climate controls you have and the one with touch screen controls the US-spec LC gets is similar but with different connectors. I think the 2013+ with the touch screen controls has an extra feature or two like the windshield heater, so I would expect there's at least one or two extra wires. If you need access to wiring diagrams, PM me.

If you can take some photos of the back of your head unit and the back of the new unit I'm sure everyone on this thread would be appreciative. While we can try to decode what connectors should exist based on the GSIC, a picture is worth a thousand mouse clicks.

My 80 series is twenty years old now. Think about where computers were 20 years ago. 20 years from now, when someone breaks the screen, do you drive around with a broken screen like all the smashed smart phone screens I see? Where will someone get a mother board for twenty year old tech? You probably should buy a spare as soon as you get one of these if you tend to keep vehicles long.

The airline industry has begun ceasing buying seats with screens in the back. People are happier using their newer, and better, personal electronic devices. That, and the maintenance tail...
If you do it right, the screen is just a monitor. If it dies, plug and play, HD monitors are dirt cheap these days. What it is NOT, is the software or hardware, that should live behind the screen. The screen is just an interface for functions you already have via button or dial, it's not there to "surf the internet". It's not an iPad. It is there however to mirror/interact with whatever fancy new device you have in your hand, plus the vehicle behind it. Ability for on the fly software updates is also key. Let tech advance, the features far outweigh the risks IMO.

@linuxgod I sure will, when I get a chance to take take my dash apart i'll get some photos, in the mean time I have some photos of the back of the android unit and the controller unit it came with.

I exchanged a few emails with an online seller (website not ebay) of the unit advertised for the 2007-2015 2000 series. Seller said that it was only compatible with the Landcruisers that did not come with the navigation system- so all or nearly all 200 series landcruisers in the US.

I've requested a copy of the documentation of the connections. I'm crossing my fingers it's just an issue of the plastic connections and not the wires but I'm not optimistic.

It looks like the perfect answer to the Entune. I guess going with prestigious society is the way to go or just leave it alone.
At least we have options.
By the way, I'm on my second Cadillac Margarita.

Apparently this is a stock feature for land cruisers in the Middle East... I wonder if Beno can get this... 100% factory wow

God damn that is pimp

SO Toyota forces US 200 Series buyers to pay for two honkin' rear seat screens/system - a "premium" standard item - but we can't get the Super Audio control system for the front seat/dash?

Oh, the irony.......

So it seems like we need three things..... 1) brave / crazy owner of a 2016 - 2018 200 Series; 2) Super Audio head unit; and 3) a dealer tech team to install it. My preference is dealer to reduce/limit potential for conflict between OEM specs and aftermaket head unit. Maybe someone like @murf at Camelback Toyota.....

Can these be installed in a 2013 USA model? Who do I contact?

Eagerly waiting for someone to tell me it will work for a US Spec 200. I'd be all over this for my '14. I have a strong preference for physical buttons, but I use the buttons on the steering wheel.

This one says it will work for 2012-2015.....if someone tries it and it does let me know...
