That sucks, I lost my '96 Hilux Surf when someone T-boned me, rolled my truck, and then took off. Hope you're able to find another you're happy with for the settlement amount. Are you able to retain the salvage from insurance?

I got lucky and got $10,000 from insurance after buying back my GX. Then turned around and resold for $8000. Just about got back all the $$$ I invested. Have already spent all that on the new 08 I purchased with lift kit purchase and shipping costs., but I’m happy to have a newer one to start building on.

First thing I was able to to get done 24 hrs after taking possession of the silver surfer was to get her tint to match all the way around. Driver and passenger windows and the windshield. Looks sexier already. And yes only the front portion of the lift has been completed

I have been very busy the last month! I Finally got around to having the time to finish having the lift installed. My friend and mechanic, Steven was volunteered for the job. Thanks buddy! A few bumps on the head and more than a few curse words later my lift was compete! Thank you Steve! Next on the todo list after taking it on a test drive was to go home and swap on the STT pros!. Now it feel awesome to drive! I live on a horribly rough road and can barely feel the huge pott holes now. Putting it to good use just daily driving.

It’s a Wilco hitch gate tire carriers pretty sturdy and no too expensive. Give me some time for more pics of it.
