I ended up needing I new abs sensor, but it would come out. So today I burned it out! While I was in there I found out one of my new tie rod end boots has a hole. There was grease everywhere. So, I’ll need to address that... but today I got the new sensor installed, went ahead and installed the two bolts in my Trail Tailor lower control arm skids, and added a high lift to the Slee bumper!

I have the Trail Tailor shock skids and extend sway links in route. Should be ready for install next weekend.

So during the part out of the rust bucket I ended up with two sets of seats. I kept the best set and installed them in my daily, but nobody really wants a bat up set of seats. So, I decided to get some Lseat covers, new seat cushion for the beat up ones and have them recovered. I did the first and second rows. Well... I dropped everything at the upholstery shop I’ve used and end up getting some bad news. The arms rest covers are to long, head rest covers to big, center console twice the size and the covers look like complete crap because of the wrinkles.

My guy can cut and resew, but I’m looking st $1100 bucks on an install plus $600 for the covers, s d anything $160 on a cushion. I wanted the look of new seats, but not that bad. My looked good enough. So, I reach out to Lseats. They want photos which I have. They said they will resend head rest, center console, and arm rest. They are also including foam padding to help with wrinkles. They appear to be making it right and are willing to ship directly to shop. We will see how it turns out. Either way it’s going to cost me more then I really wanted, but I’m in it now.

So, I rolled 165k on the truck and it’s time for an oils change. I finally made the jump to 5w/30 Mobile 1 with the Toyota filter. While I was at it decided to rotate my tires.....this is where it got interesting. After I rotated and started to back up I heard an awful rubbing. I get out to take a look and my shock covers were pressed into the tire. I immediately read it all back apart only to find both tires have been wearing on the shock cover. Both tires had a groove in them I can sink my index finger in. So I look at covers and everything seems right nothings moved, but notice wear on my sway bar as well. So I rip them out and sure enough the shock covers are worn down where is been rubbing.

Jason’s been great about everything. I’ll update when I know more. I put the tires with the grooves up front. More than likely going to replace one with my spare and grab a new tire. To many miles out on this things to have a weak spot in a tire.

Figure I would give everybody and update on my LSEAT Situation... From my post in the Lseat thread on 100.....

This company is terrible.....DONT buy even though they are cheap.....

I bought first and second row seat covers from them, but when I took it to an upholster to get them put on the headrest were way to big, the armrest were about 5" long, the center console was 2-3 times the size it needed to be and every seat was baggy and a terrible fit. The first email they were extremely helpful ( June the 4th) stated we will reship you 4 head rest, a center console, armrest, and seat foam to fill in the baggy seats. Stated it will ship in one week. My concern was it is my DD luckily I had a part out and have a spare set of seats. Fast forward week one no product no response, week three there reply was we will get them out asap. Fast forward to a month and one week a random head rest (1) shows up. When I asked about this they basically stated that I don't need anything else..... Tried to send me the original pics I sent them and justify the crap fit. Now, Its July 19th (I first contacted them on 6/4 and assured a one week turn around) and they are requesting me to send all of my original armrest, head rest, and center console in so they can measure?? It will be months to get this sorted out when this is all said and done.

DO NOT BUY from this company. Yes, their covers are cheap, but so is their service. They don't care about the product after the sale. I am going to have to pay my upholstery to cut their covers and resew everything to fit so my DD seats do not look like complete crap. I'm so frustrated with this company they will never give them another dime of my money. I even asked them if they were a consumer and treated the way they treated our transaction how would they feel and in true fashion I get one sentence back.... save yourself some headache and buy from somebody else.

Two weeks in the truck in the summer and they will look fine. I've worked with two of these sets now, both the same. Be patient, don't go cutting and re-sewing anything, it will be fine.
I will say, though, it does not look like your upholster pulled the top of the passenger front seat tight enough in the back. But once the holes are cut in for the headrest tubes, you are kind of committed to it.

Thanks for the advice. The service has been absolutely horrible. I just don’t understand how a company can operate like that...

So haven't updated this in awhile.

1) Trail Tailor shock mounts went back to him to check on his jig and they fit in the jig. Jason stated he could grind a couple 16ths off, but that wouldn't work. Not sure whats different in my truck than the jig, but there is no way they are going back on...just not enough room. I had over 1/2" worn into each tire. Only thing I can possibly think of is the 305/70s are too fat, but not sure. So, they are not getting reinstalled.

2) Lseat covers still not installed. Told my upholster to cut and fit them correctly if they are going in..... Still waiting...

3) I did finally snag a Front Runner Rack and it really completes the truck! I pulled old rack and then used the Griot buffer and correcting compound on the roof then some poly wax to protect it before it went down and it came out great! Front Runner really has the most useful rack in my opinion.

Still daily driving truck and about to roll 170k in it!

The wrinkles will go away soon when they heat up in the sun. The armrest I found that installing them over the original they actually fit great! The headrest I didn't bother installing because mine were in great shape and the colors were so close. The only cover I was really dissatisfied with was the center console. Not sure why they bother to send it out. It doesn't even come close to fitting.
The fit and finish of my front seats I was extremely pleased with, the 5 hours to install the first and 3 for the second I could have done without though! I know everyone has different opinions on the subject but like others have mentioned their nice enough for a DIY job but don't quite meet the value when you have to pay to have them installed and/or altered.
I hope these things work themselves out, best of luck!

Did you by any chance have scraping noise when turning sharply in any direction after rear brake job?

Nope nothing. Everything is fine.
