How much is a sheet of metal for the floor? Would have to be cheaper than a whole truck bed.
Yeah, just buy a plain sheet of steel and weld it in. Ply wood will need to be replaced pretty fast anyway.
From what I have read it needs to have some support or bends to provide strength. I'd be fine with a sheet of steel but wasn't sure about finding someone with a bead roller and didn't really want to put extra supports/weight on it if I didn't have to. I thought a cut out truck bed floor would be perfect. No need to buy the whole bed, find one that's smashed on the outside and ask how much for a 38" x 72" piece of the bed floor.

D&L Bensinger LLC Does sell a complete tub for $950 and looks like they used to have the floor panels as well. Unfortunately both are out of my price point. Definitely open to ideas about the floor. I'm not a welder, but know a few who are usually willing to help iwht I can be patient on their schedule.
