We're in Denver every 4 weeks, and we always rent an Xterra or 4runner. Are the San Juans trails doable in something like that?

G'day Spressoman, just watched that vid you posted, pm sent to thank you for sharing a terrific bit of film. The other blokes who supplied photos and footage should be congratulated too.
Thanks mate, really impressed......great way to spend 5+ minutes dreaming of 4WDriving when I can't get out there myself. Great country and nicely done.
Thought your efforts demanded a public "Thank You" too though
Cheers
John

RE: Offroad kid

Some trails down there are very easy in any high clearance stock 4X can make it. When you get to the upper end of easy or into Moderate is where you start scraping things, etc. Suggest you pickup the book: Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails by Wells.
On the left is the junction for the Alpine loop and there are very easy ways into Animas Forks (photo). Photo to right is a very fun trail that is easy - Red Mountain and the photo is "Yankee Girl" mine - great story and Colorado history.

Your 100 gives me hope on a snorkel one day especially if it is painted to match the body. Your 100 looks great and that is great action photo.

Sweet! I'm contemplating on whether or not to get a roof rack on my cruiser or just paint it!

What's that black thing hanging off the top rear of your truck? A mirror? Camera?
