Parked next to a rival truck in the back lot at work...

One truck has been sitting for about a month waiting for parts for a tranny rebuild (I wouldn't be surprised if the owners just gave up on it and abandoned it at the dealership), the other has been a wonderful truck with plenty of life left in it! Can you guess which one is mine? :hmm:

Funny. Today I was headed to the carwash to drop off some mud and in the lane beside me was an older Land Rover. His front end was bouncing like a rubber ball.

In the Swell . . .

I've always had a soft spot for Disco's and find myself looking at them on autotrader randomly, but I had a friend put things into perspective. In his words " look at it, it's calling your name, it wants to be your friend. It's like a smokin hot chick that is waving you its finger for you to come here..So after you go out with her and she's taken all your money and left you on the side of the road...call me" ( he owned 2 and purchased one new and now has several cruisers)

I was just a couple miles East of that point on Saturday. I took Wingate Road South as far as I could until I found the fence for the military base. Then a quick run up to the January Jones mine. On Sunday I drove up to the Osborne Cabin and then over to Lookout City. Good times!

Great picture!

Any of you Death Valley fans read this (free) book? http://amzn.com/B00AQN23CY Interesting to read about the early visitors to DV. I prefer the comforts my 100...air conditioning, a fridge full of food/beer, a rooftop tent, etc., but some perspective is always nice.UOTE]

Yep, read the book. Bill Manly and his partner did one hell of a heroic feat....
