Looks like you guys both have the creeping Hi lift base plate problem. You might want to drill a hole and bolt or padlock the base in place. It'll eventually work it's way to the Aluminum spindle cover and gouge it. Ask me how I know. :)

Deploying new communications equipment at a tower site this morning...

That's the colour i actually wanted for mine, but i settled for a silver one given the timeframe and also i think the dealer lied to me saying i'd have to wait 2 months for that...anyway.

Looks great mate, and i hope you are enjoying it!

I took the :princess: camping for the first time last weekend. We camped on a gravel bar on the Illinois River in E OK.

We somehow found this little trail to the river, added some nice scratches but it was worth it.

Need wiring help?

2003 with a few mods

Pic 1...original condition...as purchased a month ago

Pic 2...minus running boards

Pic 3...after adding OME shocks, springs, and torsion bars, Slee diff drop and Front Runner rack with obligatory Hi Lift jack. Note also the "gold" package is thankfully long gone.

FWIW, I'm looking for a home for the OEM roof rack if anyone is interested. PM for more info.

Got my first dent yesterday. The trail was incredible and worth it though. I was with a buck of TJs and JKs and even they were having problems.

It's called Calamity Mesa. You won't find it in any guidebook and it probably seed a few dozen trucks a year. Pics shorty.

That dent is hardcore.. Any pics of you in the obstacle?

Big Bear: Gold Mountain and Clark Summit

I went on a trip to Big Bear this weekend with Klausvanwinkle and SanDiego Cruiser. Good times with some new friends.

Probably $300 in gas

Starting Gold Mountain from the North

My wife navigating one of the more technical sections on the trip

Lots of Talus to drive over. Sounded like driving over broken china. Worse than finger nails on a chalk board.

Talus Slope

Going down the last waterfall. I believe this was called the gate keeper.

SanDiegoCruiser managed to test out all his new armor

On Sunday we started at Skyline Drive and took Clark Summit down to the bottom of the mountain. Easy but fun.

The Gold Mountain Trail was just the right amount of Thrill Level for our group. Most of the trail was pretty moderate and just required some good tire placement. The last few ledges and dry waterfalls at the south end of the trail required us to give the sections a little more thought to get through without too many bruises.

I called into our local 4x4 fabricator's workshop on Friday just gone, and it was 100 series central! Including a single cab ute 105.

And this HZJ105 that is running a ball bearing turbo and is inter-cooled, hauls ass apparently!

I also went camping on the weekend with some mates, nothing special location wise, however when I crawled out of my tent and was greeted with this beast, I couldn't resist taking a photo, haha. My wife thinks I'm obsessed.. she's probably right.

Um yeah, and I'm not happy about it. I've had the new rack with the new spindle on for a month and I have a large gouge in a piece of art for a cap. Grrr.

Here you go. And others from the weekend! I honestly don't know exactly which obstical it happened on but it was one of the ones in the photos.
