Pics from the San Juans

We headed up to Ouray for the FJ Summit and this being our 4th year in a row, well, it never gets old. The wife and I ran Imogene over to telluride and met some friends for lunch then headed back via Ophir pass. I also ran Black Bear to the point at which it was closed. We did get word that it was due to open Tuesday but we had to get back to Austin. I know there is a group meeting up there next month and if you are on the fence get off it and go! This is a bucket list trip, the trails are not hard unless you are afraid of heights....

I tried to recreate the Toyota Trails cover with this one, its on the way up Imogene from Ouray...makes ya feel pretty small. There is a memorial on the other side of my Cruiser where someone went off the edge, its a long way down!

Took the scenic route this weekend between Ellensburg, WA and Wenatchee, WA via Table Mountain. 2.5 hour detour from the normal highway route but the views from atop Table Mountain were nothing short of spectacular. Most of the route follows the ridge line and you have a front row seat the whole way.

For those who are interested, this route is part of the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route, sections 3-5.

On top of Lion Rock 6300ft.

Commute.

Hey, that's my backyard.... I'll be taking a similar route thursday to get over to the Overland Rally in Ellensburg from the Mission ridge / Colockum area. The one towards Cashmere is my alternate commute, although closed due to flood damage right now.

Yup! My original plan was to come down Mission Creek right into Cashmere where you are at. However my neighbor in Lake Chelan lives in Cashmere (about half mile from your shop) and he told me Mission Creek was washed out right now and not passable. So I continued past Beehive Reservoir and got on Squilchuck and came into Wenatchee.

Some day I'm going to stop by your front yard. I pass by your shop a million times to/from my parents. One day I need to come by and drop off the 100 for gears/lockers. Figured you can handle that! Maybe Kings and UCA's too if you give me a deal. :D

Since the wife is due any day.... I dont get to get out and play... plus the desert is too hot now. So, I will sort through old photos and post them after processing them for you guys. Here is another from Moab. A different angle from the others you have seen...
