Haha, I like the claymore hitch!

EDIT: Is that a Rigid backup light? How do you like it and how is it hooked up?

Picture camping with fiance just outside of Moab.

Nick, after seeing your pics after you reindexed, I'm convinced that my truck hates me. I reindexed and STILL maxed the damn driver's side out. This is all it could muster in the front:

Pardon the crappy picture quality and angle, I snapped it really quick with my phone and had to tweak it some to lighten it up because of the shadows.

It looks ok and sits pretty much level with the rear, which is what I wanted...but I only have 30mm spacers in the back and there is no adjustability left in the front. When I get OME springs and go higher in the rear, I won't be able to raise the front any more to compensate. It'll have to be OME torsion bars at that point, too.

For those that weren't following the "Orange Out" thread, here's the finished product.

Orange removed, black trim via 5 coats of satin black Krylon Fusion (matches almost perfectly):

You need to make the adjustor bolt almost touch you nose ( as pfran explained to me). When you tart cranking you should feel it "grab". If it doesn't start fighting you in 4-5 full turns your not indexing enough. I had the bolt in 2 full turns and went to the front, and really indexed it. ( the whole assembly lifted in the rear). Pic shows where the adjuster bolt needs to be. I am using 1/4 of the threads and max out the front end barley halfway through tue bolt. Now that I know how to install/index it would tale me 30 minutes with standard tools and a torque wrench.

When you have everything assemble take the bracket off the end up front and turn the t-bar further so the rear lifts up. You will see what I mean. I found out that putting the bracket on the bolt that doesn't come out, pull the other one out and spin the bracket up. Keep trying, when it slides over, slide the bolt into the bracket and tighten bolts. Go to adjustor bolt and start cranking. It it grabs 4-5 full turns or so. Back in out where everything is loose then torque the A-arm mounts down real good (136 ft lbs IIRC)and crank away. Half way through my adjustor bolt I could not crank any further. I dropped the truck and was maxed out 100% second picture shows the front end as high as it can go with no droop. One click on my hi lift and the front wheels were dangling.

Keep trying dude.

Well that gives me some hope then. Maybe I'll go pick up some springs from Slee here in a few weeks and try it again.

Thanks for the pics.

Yes, do it...you can hold onto the jack till you do it

This is what happens when you drive like I do. Sway bar bushing new vs old. The other one was just as bad but not completely split.

Question! Why do you bother to cover up the license plate? It's viewed in public everyday... I would understand if you blocked phone, address, email, etc... but license plate just doesn't make sense:meh:

BIG Thanks to Slee, Toyota of NWA, and Line-X of Tulsa.

Nice looking ride. Do you have a build thread or any writeup on the things you did on this LC? Also, I remember the group was looking for some feedback on the AT2's in an "all purpose tire thread" recently....

Btw- I don't have the nuts to line-x a vehicle but yours looks pretty good. I hope it doesn't fad and end up looking like an Avalanche in the future.

Personal choice due to my profession. It might not make sense to you, but you aren't me. A few bucks and my license plate can give someone the exact location of me and my family. I doubt you've pissed off quite as many not-so-nice people as I have, so I consider it a basic security measure. The fact that it's viewed in public every day doesn't matter. The general public has no reason to pay any more attention to my plate vs the car next to me. I have nothing on my truck that ID's me as a cop. However, on here the pictures I post of my truck are linked with my username. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to connect the dots and start digging.

Eventually pictures of my truck will surface from events and other people snapping photos. If someone wants to find me that badly, they will...but it takes all of 10 seconds to blur the plate. In the mean time theres no reason to make it easier for them, right?

agree....most dont ride around with pen and paper to copy everyones license plate and look up personal info....plus for most part you are there one second and gone the next...not a lot of time to stew over anything. On internet it is there forever....and with enough comments about installs and builds and stereos and weapon storage that people do on here...makes it very easy for someone of poor morales to go shopping for whatever they want...mmmmmm Nitto Trail Grapplers on 18" wheels and no wheel locks...I will go visit MudXX, new $1200 head unit in so and so with NAV and Satellite modules on 98 LC and no alarm.....mmmm go visit MudXXXX tomorrow night.......owe and it was parked in front of a sweet home in a nice neighborhood and he is going on the FJ SUMMIT for the next 12 days so his home will be empty...mmmmmm lets drive to CITYXX and visit the house of MUD XXX to see what he has I might be able to use.

It makes it that much harder for the assholes to figure you out.... Same as a lock on steering of my motorcycle when I go to a bar, rally, or elsewhere. I park next to the most expensive and UNLOCKED bike I can find.....figure they will go for the easy pickings first before they mess with mine. Same with homes, vehicles, etc.....

I would rather make it tough for the bastards...:steer:

Plenty of pics of my license plate out there.

FYI. I'm always packing :D my wife too.
