Well, USC got an extra measure of revenge against Auburn
on Sunday. 18-4.
Holding on to the #4 spot in the polls today.
Tied with Vandy for 1st in the east. Man, I'm glad USC doesn't play them
again in the regular season. Vandy is playing lights out baseball this year.
The "other" Tigers come to Columbia on Weds. ;)
Wofford comes to Columbia on Tuesday.

osage city 9...northern heights 2....osage city 5...northern heights 1...another sweep of a league opponent!...4 -0 in league play....has'nt happened around here in many years.....jake played both games at first base....error free...at the plate...4 for 6...with 1 rbi....life is good in osage city!

he is a pitcher/first baseman...the number 1 and 2 pitchers have been throwing complete games...no room for freshman yet...i think he will get his first start on friday...we have a non league game against a very good team...we will see how he does...i will keep ya posted

Hey Trollhole! Looks like Clemson has raped your thread. But i will rain some praise for those TarHeels last year! I went to Alabama to watch that sweep then to Omaha to watch them play, spectacular group of guys they had. This year looks pretty good aswell. I am a NCSU student but you wont see me cheering for that roudy bunch we have. I even hate the TarHoles but i gotta give it up for their baseball team.
Oyeah my brother played for them last year when they finished 2nd, Jonathan Hovis(the Hov') so ofcoarse i liked them.

Hey 1974fj, last year's Tarheels were great! Kudos on the family genes.
This year's UNC diamond dudes are doing pretty good too. I see they keep
hanging out in the top 5. USC vs UNC is always a great regional
or super regional. I really hope both teams keep it up and we get that matchup
in post season. Man it must be tough being a NCSU guy and having to pull for
your bro on a UNC squad. :grinpimp:

osage city 3..rock creek 5....osage city 6...rock creek 11....jake started the game..pitched a complete game...gave up 3 hits and 2 earned runs...only 3 balls hit out of the infield..all three pop flys and caught for the out...he had a great night!..struck out 4...walked 1..at the plate in 2 games 1 for 4 with an rbi single in game 1...he is scheduled to pitch again this coming friday...his era after this outing is 2.70...not bad for a freshman

Outstanding performance for a Senior...much less a freshman.
Keep up the good work Jake!
Yardbirds dropped 2 of 3 to Ole Miss this weekend. Man the S.E.C. is rough.
Sunday's game was a homerun fest and avoided a sweep.
Davidson on Tuesday and Clemson at Tigertown on Weds.
I can't see the Cocks sweeping CU this year or any year for that matter.
Still.....I'm hoping to break out da broom this Weds. :grinpimp:

we have had 4 games cancelled in the last week...someone please make this rain stop...i really need to see some sunshine...even the team is starting to look bad...it is raining right now...we have a game scheduled for tomorrow night...the boys need to play
that is all

I wish that rain would come to Pumpkintown. My veggie garden and
lawns need it.
Gamecocks have stunk it up recently. Big weekend series with Kentucky.
Cocks need to sweep it but it doesn't look good. I feel sure they will still host a regional barring a total collapse. Still top 20 with a top 5 RPI.

Osage, I've been watching the national weather forecast.
Dude, Kansas is washing away!
Hope ya'll don't get flooded out there.
6 of 20!!!! Holy Cow! :(
Cocks took 2 of 3 from Kentucky this weekend.
El Cid comes to town mid-week, then it's a big
weekend go-round with Tenn.
They need to get hot NOW if they want get one of the top 8 seeds for
The Road to Omaha. RPI (most important stat to committee) is #5
this week. Glamor polls have the Cocks around 10 to 12. Coaches
poll has 'em at #5. :grinpimp:
Man, they need to play good this weekend.

we finally got a pair of games in tonight!...we split with alma wabaunsee...the team had not been together in a week...got their rear ends handed to em in the first game...10 - 1 second game they came to life and won 13 - 3...jake pitched 1 inning to close the first game....inherited bases loaded...they scored 4 on him..he just could not seem to find the groove...1 for 4 at the plate with 1 rbi....yesterday our baseball field had 5' of water on it...lots of flooding...12" of rain in 24 hours..it has been miserable!...the sun was out today....i have never been so happy to see the sun!...i will post up some pics in the morning...we got some good ones!
