Spray painted this again because old paint reacted badly to rust prevention and was cheap, maybe to many thick layers, lack of knowledge.

Our fiat RV has no afterglow, smoked like a smoker getting ready to quit.
Afterglow seems to reduce 40% smoke, so installed 4 afterglow type glowplugs and pulled a wire.
Funny stuff, nothing else needed, surprised to read the electrical picture and realize this red wire could be it:
The glow-plugs stop glowing when engine runs (1980: alternator or starter swicthed) , disconnect red wire (4, crank wire starter) and they continue glowing for 19 seconds. this is a big improvement:
And some maintenance, new rear shocks. Was worried about fit but seems oke for a lift and plug and play installation.
The old would compress unevenly and also come out different in time (fast against slow)
New drives more firm on the road, did not drive a lot yet but typical something that wears unnoticed.
EDIT: these are worn or broken or just to light, not happy at all because body lean is more than before, checked if swaybar was loose but no, hate this, again a failed repair, they look fine and new.

Made it again to Croatia with boat trailer.
New tires are a lot better absorbing road potholes, bought same type.
Ferry to Cres, port abandoned boat crane and WOII German submarine supply bunker.
Submarine torpedo storage way inside the mountain.

Another road check passed, good till 2026 
This time about nothing to weld and some minor stuff (Lokka clicking is not a dragging brake, one damaged seatbelt can be removed and some damage at the suspension that is hammered back in shape.)
So now, the mother of all tows, I don't think this was legal but drove 180 km to get a machine that helps when stuck.
Not fast but managed between 65 to 95 km/h on highway, no problem at all with the rear lokka.
Trailer is 1000kg, 3500 is legal plus 10%.
Type of crane is:
1970 Argenterio SM700
2 Cylinder Diesel: Motori VM Model 295
also know as Sun 2105 = SUN2105E2.MTP
No info online!, ordered diesel, oil, Hydraulic filter to start maintenance, some stuff from Italy and workshop manual from Canada
Needs one head gasket and Hydraulic pressure is a bit low but filter was collapsed with rubber particle so needs a clean, and oil bath airfilter refilled with 500ml oil.

Just having fun, the cruiser is now 40 years old so no more roadtax! 
It was 2200 euro tax per year so it was parked, now suddenly the HJ is used a lot, need rust roof repair.
Getting a 500 euro VW transporter from Germany to scrap for the engine:
My doughter can now drive, and get stuck:
but got out in 4x4, said she has seen me doing this enough...
And the latest bust is a Suzuki gsxr1000 L7 (2017) from Germany
It was 2200 euro tax per year so it was parked, now suddenly the HJ is used a lot, need rust roof repair.
