No thanks. Its odd that the Natick gang seems to wear spandex even when there aren't any bikes involved.

Back on track, wife and I are joining the gym together. She's going to do the yoga classes and I'm going to stare at the women in that yoga class. Win win!

Hey man, don't make fun of our Jamaican bob sledding attire.

Do you have a bike John? You should jump in with us in the spring and ride your way into shape. If it makes you feel more secure, we'll let you wear jeans and s*** kickers. :hillbilly:

I'd call that a win! The last 2 weeks were the worst of the year for losing weight so I'd call that a small victory

No bike. Too many s***head drivers in MA and no shoulders on the road. People on cell phones kill bikers all the time. Rather be in the 45 than on a bike when I get hit by one of those foolz. Either way I'll be wearing spandex.

Bad week this week, only down a half a pound. Given what I ate and drank over the NY holiday I'll take it.

x2 seriously Dave keep going yo made it through the hard part. as Adam sandlers side kick in every movie says 'you can doo it"

Yes, I was really thinking I'd start after the holidays, instead I started before and am down 10 already. Plus I'm still firmly on track to average 2 lbs. a week (=100lbs/year).

nice work Dave and keep going! Are you doing any strength training to compliment the program you're on?

Crappy drivers everywhere. You live in a mecca of road riding with lots of riders on the roads. Drivers are used to seeing cyclists and are usually considerate as they pass. If the road isn't your deal, get a mountain bike. There's lots of good trails in the metro west area and some great local parks and reservations. Plus, it will help explain why you're wearing spandex. Just don't wear it when you go wheeling or you might get banned. :hillbilly:

I've heard sitting on those exercise balls while working or watching TV for short periods is a good passive workout.

Wow, I sit on my balls all the time- why aren't I losing weight? Maybe it's the bourbon...

Really hope you guys are not talking about sitting on some Ben Wa Balls

Rearranged a few things here at work and now I am up and down the stairs constantly. :) Amazing how quickly my out-of-breath state went away (just days). :) Good to be moving out of this chair more often for sure.

Have had a GREAT eating week, staying on plan, feeling good. Noticed my pants are looser and I need to use a new (tighter) hole in my belt. :) :)

Looking forward to an active weekend and weigh in on Monday.

An elliptical machine is good for that. Put it in front of the TV and use it for a half hour. It's a pretty good workout, too.

I made time for exercise by selling my house, moving in with my in-laws, quitting two jobs, and slowing life WAAAYY down. Congrats Dave. Keep it up. I've secretly been on a health kick since August as well. I stopped drinking ('cept the FG) , cut out all soda(really hard for me), and am eating way less and more healthier. I also started a sl.ightly crazy new routine of going to the gym at 5am every morning. It works for me.

just find what works for you and stick with it.

Need to make time for exercise still, going to get back into my nightly 2-3 mile walks with the dog.
