And your first ad said no notarized title. Do you, or don't you, have a title that will transfer upon sale?

i said i hadn't gotten around to notarizing it yet, but yes i do have it. it's a regular, clean az title. i know it's funny for you guys to be dicks and offer me $25 for the AC condenser fan and things of that nature but to me, it's actually a pretty nice cruiser with a lot of positives. i'm not looking to stir up any trouble, i only posted an updated message because my original post garnered so much... uh, attention lol... and i said i would let you know what happened with the title.

to the person that asked about keeping dirt out of the front bearings, that is true, you have to monitor that. i did replace the front bearings already (my guy charged me $800! ugh) and he said that they will need to be replaced more often than normal because it's hard to keep dirt out.. but that hopefully they'd still last at least 50k miles. it's been 5k since then and no issues, so we'll see.

the question about the burnout is actually pretty amusing. i would do it. you guys really want to see it?

Glad to hear your making progress on it. Doing doughnuts in a Hundyy would be a giggle to see on UTube. John

Haha Thanks John. I don't know about doughnuts, but I'll see if I can put something fun together this week sometime.

So what all, exactly, is missing from the front drivetrain?

and why...?

Well, you guys know a lot more about these trucks than I do, but Wikipedia lists broken front differentials as one of the three most common issues in 100s.

"Both IFS 100 and Live-axle 105 models have been reported as suffering from broken front differential centres when driven in harsh conditions.[16]"

My guess is the previous owner simply broke it and never had it replaced. If there's any way I can replace it without spending a totally outrageous amount of money, I would. But as you guys know, it's almost impossible to find 100s in junk yards and I think the parts I need are expensive? My mechanic said he'd charge me at least $1,500-$2,000 to replace it with new equipment but that was just a rough estimate - could be more.

It's way more than that, and maybe even more without knowing what all is jacked up in the front end. YET, knowing this, you still continue to ask WAY more than retail for a car you KNOW needs thousands of dollars in repairs just to get back to normal OEM condition. You are hoping for a sucker, and THAT'S what makes you a skeezy seller.

And you have the nerve to call US "dicks"??? :flipoff2:

Go away...

Looks pretty darn nice!

65 FJ40

I found this 65 interesting in that it proves the corrugated hard changed to the late harder during 65. 66 a heater was standard. Looking at the pictures I thought it not a bad looking cruiser for $3K then realized a missed a zero. For $30 you would at least think they would flip the bezel.:meh: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/cto/3760362289.html

Fuman, what is the latest with your new 80? Any updates or future plans?

The desert dune really is the best looking color scheme on an 80 IMO

I'm selling my old tires. Took them off about 6 weeks ago. They have no plugs, no signifcant damage. Just the usual trail knicks, scratches. I never got a flat with these tires and am noticing a lot of the CSC guys going to these now. Make me an offer, I need the space.

Thanks
