with the big trip down south coming up i decided to mount the lap top for me and the wife mostly to use as a gps and to practice using some of the mapping software we bought a while back
laptop is just one giant touch screen. the gps antenna is connected via blue tooth works better then my little Garman unit

that is awesome that was the nest step I never made with my old fj62. what laptop are you using. and its specs.

you do realize, that thing will add some serious pain and suffering to the passenger if you were in an accident.
But I thought that the 80 series were capable of totaling a tractor trailer with only minor scratches to the ARB bumper?
Picking up a blasting cabnet tonight. Figured that it was pretty short money. Its Harbor Freight but only $80. Anyone have any thoughts?

only on a head on collision you hit a little to the left or right of the arb and the bumper folds like a tin can and you become intoomed in pile of scrap metal
i did think of the whole pasenger collision so the laptop sits directly between us as we are driveing... so if we get hit from the side we are both screwed

i wanted something simple and strong and Filmpros had an extra setup that he said i could try. I cant stand any clutter in my truck especially on long trips so this ram mount seams to fit the bill. what's nice about it is i can completely remove it in about 5 min so when i don't need it its easy removed.the computer is an hp pavilion tx 2500 not sure on the specs tho Jen's computer and i only use it on trips. having the giant screen is great no need to fiddling with a touch pad or mouse

I'm on the look out for a bigger stand up one. I currenty have a 30gallon Collman that I got 15 years ago and it keeps plugging along. If I need more air to run it I will borrow my neighbors who had a big one that should do the job. Hey will be an excuse to get another compressor.
if you do get a new compressor I would buy one that is NOT and oil less those pos compressors are junk i think i have killed at lest 3 of them
, there great of a nail guns or the occasional tire fill up but not for running air tools or a sand blaster for that matter. belt driven oil compressors are the way to go in my book

My current one is an oil less and has been really good for me. (knock on wood)

The 70 has arrived and is making the 40 look a bit old......
I really am having a cruiser crisis. Both trucks are equally cool for different reasons. Might just put both of them up for sale and keep whichever one is left over. Not gonna be an easy decision.

yeah the 70 is wicked cool. But since it will be harder to find parts for I would stick with the 40
Engine parts will be easier to find on the 70 since it's a 3B. The 40 is the smaller B engine which has some parts crossovers but not all. Anything odd goes wrong mechanically on the 40 and I'll be scouring websites in Australia and Canada.
The 70 is cool in that it's a better family vehicle. The 40 is cool cuz its a 40 and the top comes off. Neither has A/C. Both essentially have rebuilt engines. I really am split.
