Will be nice once I get it cleaned up. It wasnt a ton of money from my Dad but I didnt want to piss it away on something dumb.

exactly. My wife and her cousins all got something when her Grandmother passed. I told her basically the same thing. While others got new computers and phones she bought a pool table. That table is still sitting in our home and the family has enjoyed hours of fun over the years thanks to her generosity.

I've had the money in my account for a year...almost bought a car wash with it! Our overall goal is to have the cabin paid off in 10 years. By then my son will be headed to college and all the rental money can go to the kids tuition bills. Zoe will be headed to college 4 years later.

Trying to make the gift make the biggest long term impact. It feels almost like sacred money (if there is such a thing....seems like an oxymoron) Having my late father help put my kids through college is an amazing thing.

That said I am definitely going to have some parties and fun weekends up there. Definitely want to get the club guys up there as well.

What a waste! Those are all items that will be obsolete in a few years! A pool table will last generations!! Good for your wife.

looks sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job.

wow

@82cruiser, check out Southeast Overland: they have a number of offerings for synthetic winch line. Not sure if there's someone more local that has it, but I've ordered several items from these folks, and service has been good.

Agree. Got mine from them at CMCC this summer. Didn't pay shipping but it was still a great price. The owner even spliced it there and I could watch. Pretty cool to see.

Used our 40 series to pull some ailing shrubs out of our front yard this evening:

Where the hell is everyone? Fall Gathering less than a week away and none of the excited chatter that normally leads up to it.
