Look for a shot of the Maine boys on page 26 of OffRoad Adventures Magazine-

Here are some of the other photos that didn't make the magazine while we were wheeling with the guys from Gotham. https://picasaweb.google.com/105462...authkey=Gv1sRgCPOjma3Ljq-07AE&feat=directlink

I thought that white 60 with the red tailgate lid looked familiar :)!!! Awesome coverage of the GCLCs!

The gathering is over, ,,,,, and I miss it already, I didn't get to hang out with and wheel with everyone, it needs to be a day or two longer, lets go wheelin!!!!!!

How are aluminum trailers? Worth looking into?

RAD whoever owns it and Swiss Miss color!

Go to the ENH website and search "Backside Inn". There will be stuff coming up under the Trip / Trail Reports section on ENH that will have pix.

I'm still working on getting some YT people up there and hoping we can get a YT member only run at that location next year. There is camping 1/2 mile down the road and the Inn is a B&B for people who want better amenities.

New owners now You didn't like the wheeling?

If it was new owners maybe its different. We stayed and there were not locks on the room doors. Had a 10 year old kid bust into our room like it was his own. If it was 10 minutes earlier he would have gotten a little education on the birds and the bees. Has to have been over 5 years ago and knew nothing of wheeling there back then as we stayed to go snow boarding at Sunapee. The food was crummy. It was run by a hippy and two lesbiens back then.

A hippy and 2 lesbians? No wonder the kid broke into your room. :o

There have been 2 fully booked off road events up there this year with BBQ lunches and everyone has raved about the food. There's always plenty for seconds and a couple folks mentioned they wouldn't mind having the owner catering an event.

Hmmm, maybe that's another catering option for the Fall Gathering.

Speaking of which, we ate our own food this year Saturday nite at the FG and some of the people we sat with were wondering if St Pam would make supper for them next year after seeing our plates. Especially so after she shared some of her homemade cookies with the younger and older boys at the table.

I think we should just do a couple pigs (not FJ55's), dogs, burgers, corn, beans and salads and be done with it. Someone must have a pig roaster or 2 at home, eh? The FJCruiser Trails Team did it for us awhile back and it wasn't the worst meal we had, that's for sure. I think a very few volunteers could put on as good a meal as the ones that have been catered the last 2-3 years and it would cost quite a bit less.

I always eat well at the FG every day, you just have to know how to pick the right neighbors. Plus this year I brought my wife. The downside of that was that I didn't get fried Spam twice a day. :bang:
