Glad to hear more positive reports of the MT Baja Boss AT. Hows the road noise compared to the K0ws? I think this may be my next tire as well. Checks all the boxes. Only "negative" I can see is that they weight typcially 5-10lbs heavier then their competition.

Sliders and pics of the MickeyT Bosssssses:

At first, I was a little annoyed at how heavy the sliders are (my first all-steel mod), but having that weight down low is better than anywhere else.
The “sidebiters”, make the tires poke out more than the KO2s. Dare I say that the 295 Mickeys are wider than the 305KO2…

That’s a G rated preview. Send some R rated nudes and show the whole truck!!

I debated on getting the AHC plates, but ultimately decided that it was worth my time to not have to jack with rigging up some aluminum. For now, my plan will be to leave the plates off unless I go out on a trip. 5 bolts and about 10 mins per side to get them on….

Dometic fridge:
I never thought I’d ever get a snorkel or fridge, but now I have both 🤷🏻‍♂️
The usable space in a 65L yeti was a lot lower than expected once I added yeti ice/ frozen water bottles - probably about the same as the 55L dometic. I imagine the fridge will get more use on Costco runs vs camping trips.

The only problem is during a “whole family” trip, dog crate has to go where the dometic is, and only option is to take the yeti in the hitch basket.

I haven' seen anyone do it, but is there any reason you can't run the fridge outside the vehicle? Weatherproofing maybe? As far as theft goes, I'm guessing the 65L Yeti is as big a target as a fridge would be.

Also if you shop very very carefully, you can find a fridge that fits behind that third row seat . . .

Still on the hunt for a 5th BBS (and then a matching Boss)…

I have a buddy running an Iceco on a hitch basket. Powered by the 7-pin trailer connecter. Haven't seen the outcome of it long term, but seems to work fine for him.

Interested to see how those tires hold up in the next 20-30K miles. It looks good.

Check your OTR antennas!

I was chasing a random issue were the booster seemed like it wasn’t working as well as it usually does. Turned out that water had been leaking inside and filling up the “can” at the top. Wilson sent out a free replacement, so I decided to do some surgery.

Little RTV and she’s good as new. Went ahead and sealed up the replacement while I was at it…

Wtf!
Did it slosh or something? - how’d you know it had water in it?

Yea, I randomly bumped into it and heard sloshing. At first I thought it was the wire bouncing around inside the mast, but then realized the top was full of water. The tech support dude said it “has happened before”, and the top popped off easily when I went to go fix it 🥴

The holes in the sliders are spaced perfectly for the rock lights I have, but the AHC plates are going to make for some funky shadows. I might rig up some strong magnets for movability, but for now, I’ll take the win for an easy 10 minute project.

No-go on a light under the AHC plate. I’ll likely move it out away from the slider, and add a third towards the rear of the rig.

I jumped on the Terrain Tamer 100 Series coil bandwagon. Driver side was pretty straight-forward, but expecting a tougher time on the pass.
I also decided to throw in a pair of Air Lift 1000 bags for future-proofing. It was an extra 10 mins to bore out the hole and trim down the bump stop while I had the coils out 👍

My 3rd Rigid light bar 🥴

First one had water intrusion / condensation, and the lights started shorting out over time.

The second one had a cluster of pods (4) simply stop working, no water intrusion.

Lifetime warranty is great, except I had to give Rigid a 12-week $2500 loan while they built me a new one. Full refund once they received the old.

That’s kind of a crappy program forcing you to come out of pocket for it and then awaiting a refund.

Standard option is to send yours in and wait without a bar for all that time. I figured might as well get some credit card points out of it…

True, but after the third one I'd consider another make.
