Had a couple amazing ones on draft, was happy they came in big boy glasses even though they were higher octane.

I'd recommend both of these:

- Overhead dbl IPA from Kane Brewery (NJ)
- Rare Vos from Ommegang

By the end of the night they were pouring them in pint glasses, that goodness cause my mouth was on fire from the spicy and delicious wings

Not my favorite, a bit to bitter for my taste. Good but I'd rather spend my money of other IPAs

I saw this Dirty Commie Heathen beer in at our store and upon further investigation saw that it was from Unknown, so had to get it despite its rather high price at $14.99

I'm seeing a lot of fruit based beers out this season, tangerine IPAs etc

I thought it was far inferior to the Sculpins. Gave me kind of a headache, to be honest.

Haven't tried it yet. I'll check the % but I know it was high I will drink ASAP.

Another good one from the wicked weed folks. Extra tasty sipping on a cold night around a fire with great cruiser friends.

Also picked up a six of Mt Mitchell to share. A single hop IPA from Natty greens. Not usually a fan of natty greene's selections but they got this one right. We all traded around and another new to me brew I really enjoyed was flying mouse brewery's (troutville VA) IPA

Last weekend.
Wasn't a huge fan of the Blind Squirrel. I like my IPAs with more nuts, so to speak.
In their defense, the label does say that its less intense than most IPAs you'll encounter.

They make you a beer glass and then you drink beer out of it.

Was tipped off that Costco has been stocking some good craft beers lately( dales, bells, sweet water, Sierra). I went hoping to snag a case of dales , but no dice. Walked out with a IPA mixer(4 different) from Sierra.

On a separate note, tried this Hop House from Ommegang. Pretty good but not as good as some of the others from this brewery.

It was delicious, don't get me wrong, but similar to hopslam, I think it's overhyped. That said, I need to try it again to make a final conclusion.

Also, speaking of hopslam, Laura's restaurant got a keg of hopslam and had a release party for it. I had maybe 3 pints and it's definitely a delicious beer, but I wouldn't wait in a line for it.

It's a solid IPA near the top of the heap in my opinion, but Johnny's right, it is a bit over-hyped.
Really, 1/2 the experience with Heady is the hunt to get it.
