94 Landcruiser, the driver's side door has rust along the bottom edge that runs the length of the door. The panel and the whole door will run you about $50. The switch itself $20-$25????

Sorry I missed your response. Is the switch pod in good shape? switches ok? I'll take it if it is.

Thanks

94landcruiser,

The switches are in good shape and work as advertised.

Ok, Give me your paypal info & tell me how much to send shipped to Phoenix, Az 85044.

Thanks.

Stand by for that information, I am waiting for Dr. Jim to tell me what's going on with the truck, I will know something tomorrow night and then I will have to make some serious decisions about the "final" disposition of the truck.

Right now NORVILLE has thrown a major monkey wrench into the plan, and I'm sure whatever course I take it's going to cost me!

Where ever the truck ends up, I still call dibs on the hood and lower tailgate, if they're in good shape!! :D

I wish I could get the roof, too, but that's kinda unrealistic.

hopefully you dont part this truck out man...i still want the stock unlocked axles, if ya do have to part it out hopefully there'll still be a way for me to get them;p

if anyone wants to buy the elocked axles from campo....i'd be interested in your stock unlocked axles;)

What happened with this? Did the swap occur?

No swap yet, at least with me. Last I heard John was in the middle of finding out what happened to his engine and fighting with the folks he bought it from. From talking to him I think he lost a valve, unclear how much other damage that caused.

Update on on the 80:

Like the Phoenix rising out of the ashes, the 80 lives on.....

As of a little while ago, probably last Friday I found out that #3 & #5 pistons experienced some very very minor damage due to FOD. This foreign object damage occured due to the salvage yards' inability to pack the motor properly, when it showed up, it was missing the distributor, #3 spark plug and the throttle valve was wide open. As a direct result, something got in and damaged the valves on number 3.

The head was removed and sent to the machine shop where they checked it and found it to be OK. We replaced the HG (CDAN) and got some new valves installed. The motor is back together and running like a champ.

The rear axle has been removed and the locking axle has been installed, the mechanic, being a bit overzealous, got that axle in before I has a chance to drop off the OME shocks and springs.

The front locking axle is scheduled to go in on Friday and he has everything he needs to move forward (springs, shocks SS).

More to follow on the saga, as for some of you guys that wanted parts give me a list and I will do my best to find them for you, I have a stashed 80 at an undisclosed location that has boocoo parts. Let me know what you need.

John

Doubtful but it the tail lenses are in it let me know. Glad to hear your rig is coming together agin.

Thanks,

John, good for you, glad to see it running....

OK I need In GREEN A fuel door hinge and door.....and an upper tailgate

bob

Does it have to be green?

Tail lights, I assume both sides?

Upper tailgate yes green not that desperate. the fuel door and hinge I reall only need the hinge so any color will work.

Oh, 94 w/lockers = you suck :)

It been a long and costly road. It started off with a simple $2500 investment and it has gotten a little out of control. The last "planned" items I need to get is 2 front seats from a LX450 and a green passenger side door, new windshield and then off to paint & body.

I will get the ARB front bumper. Roof rack, rear bumper are still up in the air, as well as the sliders/side steps.

I like the ARB side steps, for one they look good and the second reason is that I don't want to spend $800-900 on something that I won't really need. While I plan to take it offroad, I don't live near Moab and I don't plan to drag this truck across a bunch of rocks, well at least not yet.

More drama to follow.

Do "WE" as a group have someone that can service the front birfs properly? It seems that there are bunch people who think that they know how to service the birfs but really don't. While I do not plan on doing this anytime soon, it's always good to have a plan.

Is there any chance you would consider buying the Factory Service Manual? I personally feel that it is impossible to be into Cruisers and not do at least some of the work yourself.... please don't take me the wrong way, just offering a little encouragement as I find the FSM's easy and straight forward for jobs within the realm of possibility, i.e. does not require specialty tools, skills, etc.
