Were you guys bore of going slow?

I though it was the Californians that like to go fast on a Cruiser!

Well Tore up some stuff on HA but nothing too unexpected...

front Loc-rite, drag link, two rear driveshafts, serious auto-clearance of the fuel tank, dented front diff housing at ring gear, right front turn indicator, fresh dent in previously dented PS front fender, and some misc. damage to link mounts, etc. I call that a highly successful weekend!

Bad news was when I got home though.... gotta go get Sherry's 80 this morning. Sounds like she had a head gasket blow while I was gone :( . No rest for the weary.

By gawd Daryl!.... Where did all this happened?

Any action pix of these?

So much for driving my 80 to this event and driving it back!:hhmm:

Land Speeder, I know who you are now!

I always wonder who was the guy under the mask!

Did you know I had a spare Heavy duty tubed rear driveshaft?

I've had a few folks gimme shunt about removing my fenders and front corner lights....

Did not know about your spare driveshaft - wish I had though. Looks like I will be trying to repair both mine and Woody's now. Gonna have to find sme heavier tube for this thing to survive.

That tree just jumped out and smacked the fender. I think it was mad cause Lenny went by without so much as a "how do you do?". Lenny may have had only one gear but it was the one he needed. His rig did great! Two busted birfs but that was to be expected for stock birfs and 40" comp crawlers.... Hey Bobby...

Yep. it's a spare because it's so damned heavy I'm afraid it'll ruin the pinion bearings and output bearings if i keep it under there... The welds will break before the thing dents though.

And HOW Leny has kept stock birfs in that axle even with 35's!
I've met adult entertainers tighter than the spare birf lenny installed on the second break.

JP,

How could you not know? Lucha Libre??????

Charles

hahahaha
No one ever knows me until they see my filthy girls. I've come west too many times without my junk... that's stopping now that I have rollers to flat tow!

GSMTR was a blast. Had fun hanging out with you mofos!

Thanks to daryl and thr guys for helping me get my weaklink fixed. 1 st time i broke a birf, enjoyed it soo much thought i would try it twice. ; )

Trails are gnarly & are racist toward stock birfs ; )
Bobby will definitely be hearing from me....after june trip.

May just stick an 80 front under there...hmmm

I was riding shotgun when todd shirley ran this course in his 40. I swear we had the fastest time.. At least it felt that way going by the generous use of profanity... That track is fun.

Hah! Apparently we were one second slower than the winner. Had a blast and was really surprised we beat the big gay TBId 2F. It was a great time catching up with everyone, see ya in October!

Hope y'all spread the word on the park, and can bring a big crowd next year. May 14th-19th. Put it on the calendar...no excuses!

Better news. Looks like it's not a head gasket. Pulled the plugs and all look good. Did a compression test and had 170-180 psi in all holes. I don't have the tools to do a leak down test so it still may be the HG though.

Seems that there is some sort of oil cooler on the side of the block. Some folks report similar symptoms when a fault in the cooler shows itself(fingers crossed). I have some more reading to do...

You full of shunt! I'm going back to that park BEFORE next GSMTR! It was awesome for my kinda riding!

That was funny as hell...that would have been awesome if he had carried it over the second hump and just made a gentle landing.

That truck soaked it up better than most 7000# rigs would have....

Funny you say that cause the pilot "jumpin jimmy" said just that.
Aw man, I should have just hit it ten miles an hour faster and I would landed the back side just fine.

What was broken?

the list goes something like this: axle housing bent, spring buckets relocated (higher), ARB bumper bent...there's more but I can't remember it all.

we may go back in the fall for just an overnight trip, I'll let you know.

yes, coil buckets look like this \ /
springs therefore look like this ( )
and the bottom spring perches~ ~
Housing seemed to bend at the knuckles, outside the control arm
Tire grabbed the wings of the ARB bumper and twisted them down
the flares ejected themselves (on the first jump)
the grill and headlight facia bolts up top broke and it flopped forward
Oil pan looked fine, tiniest of dings from the breather on the housing
He drove it back to camp with some extreme camber and had a little binding of the birfs

Gee thanks!
