As regards ride height, we just got the cab (sans engine and transmission) onto the frame - today.

Standing next to it, it is a lot taller than other 70s I've been in. And these are the original split rims and relatively small tires. This is the first 79 project I've tried.

You know, with parabolics you are not relying on the shackle for the ride quality like you are a beef pack (arb) or a flat SOA pack. Same with the high arch thin Dobinsons style packs.
