Is anyone going to Tierra Del Sol Dessert Safari next weekend, Feb 28 to Mar2?


Although it is primarily a Jeep event there are a lot of Toyotas as well.


We will have a booth and I'm taking my 80 to mess around
 
I'll be there in my 100. If you guys want to bolt your shocks up on it I'd be happy to give a detailed report. :D
 
Looks like we are a driver short and I will be towing our trailer down so I don't think I'm going to be bringing my 80 after all.

I do want to check out everyone's rigs so I hope I can catch up with people at some point.

We will have a booth in the main area and an easy up at one of the check points giving out drinks. Hope to see you all out there.

Dropped off the FreightSHAKER at Freightliner last night for some scheduled service to get it ready for this weekend.

I am planning on being there. Haven't used the rig since TDS last year. Time to dust it off so I can get it dusty, although the rain should provide some nice dust control.

Frank, where do you camp?

We camp near the cement truck barrel.
 
I'll be heading down Saturday in my white 100 with my buddy is his grayish 91.

Is everyone registering and doing the main trail ride or just going to watch?

Just taking a break from wheeling. Got back into Mountain Biking and started endurance racing. It'll be good to play in the cruiser again, been a long time.

I'm not sure. This is my first TDS and i'm meeting some friends in Tacoms that are heading out tomorrow morning. I will let you know where we land.

We registered to support the event organizers (I hear the raffles are good) and will be doing our own run (fewer peeps = more fun) Any SoCal 80s Brothers welcome

Not sure where we are camping yet.


Maybe we can pick a time and place to try and meet up.


One of our guys is going down this afternoon and setting up the Booth. I will be going down early Friday morning.

Was going to take a run up to the snow with the kids tomorrow but, might head down to TDS instead. Would be good to catch up with the group and do some wheelin.
