So i figure this is a newb question but here it goes anyways. I have been reading multiple threads concerning the tailgate window trying to determine which key lowers and raises the window. My problem is I only have the ignition key. Is this the correct key to operate the window? Mine will raise and lower from the dash but, no go at the tailgate. The key will slide into the lock no problem just won't turn either direction. If the ignition key is correct, is there a way to "grease" the lock cylinder?

Thanks, Lee

My pig is a frankenpig, and my ignition key is different from the key that works for the rear window. Maybe your ignition or your rear window has been swapped out at some time in the past.

Should be the same as your door key. But you ignition key will probably work...as will your house key, a quarter, a washer......

HA HA!!! I remember my dad using a bottlecap once.

The tailgate locks are subject to alot of dirt and water. Flood the key hole with WD and slide the key in and out several times to work it in. Should work

Good used switches are easy to find, we probably have 5 or 6 here at the Pigsty...
