You know I only have a few small windows to do this. Coffee is 9:00-10:00, lunch is 10:00-2:00, coffee again after lunch. Add in naps and bathroom breaks and I'm pretty covered up.
I'll try harder though.

We put on our bunny ear headphones and tune in to S-town for the long drive.
I will report I did not engage in any of the Kuhl faggery... I don't send other men pictures of my #EAF gear.

After hundreds of group texts, Andy & Nolen arrive at the WalMart in Sylacauga, aka, SillyCougar. Me, then beno, and then JTU arrive a few minutes later.
Patrick is running an hour or two behind us, so he'll meet us in camp. Onur, meanwhile, tells us that he has a surprise for us. He has invited one of his west coast BFF's to come join him for the night and will surprise us in camp.
We are thoroughly confused, though he promises we all know him.
Once we unload all of the parts beno brought for everyone, we Overland to the Talladega National Forest.

Just as we were about to pull into the National Forest, just as we were getting to the creepy part in the S-Town podcast, beno's voice crackles over the radio..."hey, there some redneck in a jeep waving at me, trying to get me to pull over."
We don't know if he thinks beno has a purty mouth, wants to restore his clock, or thinks he is ISIS, but beno insists on pulling over to find out.
Turns out he just liked the 70 series and wanted to check it out.

After we ditch the curious local, we venture into the NF in search of a nice campsite.
We'll be on gravel roads, but they're not in the best shape. The trailers get crossed up a few times, and we have to splash through a few stinky mud holes.
It's pretty much a climb the whole way, and once we get towards the top, there's an occasional view through the trees.

About an hour in, we reach probably the most bitchen spot in Alabama. And we get there right at sunset.
I pull up straight to the edge of the cliff and park for the night.
