I used the puller plate from my slide hammer, which has the same thread as my pitman arm puller. I used these together with a couple longer bolts into the rear cone cover holes to pull it off.

Were you able to get three bolts lined up or just two.

2 but it worked fine. Used it a couple of times for that purpose.
