Has anyone had any experience with switching out the power antenna with a fixed antenna? I want to remove the motor all together. I'm not sure what base to buy to replace it.

Also, where does the antenna cable plug into the radio? What's the best way to access it?

Just purchased a 2006. Thanks for the help.

I used parts from a Tundra.

The mast- Toyota pt# 86309-0C020, the base- 86300-0C010 (I don't have the part# for the nut), an aftermarket 48" antenna extension cable from the auto parts store, and I fabricated the bracket out of a piece of aluminum stock. You'll see where the cable fits through the panel, and it simply plugs into the back of the radio.

It was a very simple job, and it's solid.
