Quick update

Truck & Axle are now at Mars Fab in Mt. Pleasant, NC. What started as an idea to work towards a @ExpoMax style 3 link quickly blew up into me burning my wallet at the altar for my 80.

Got 9.5" Diamond axle in and started putting her together!

Brand new HF knuckles, 5.29 gears, ARB locker, OG Bobby Long's, and TG seals.
The 4 link componentry will be shaved off and 3link stuff added in

Got my 14" dual rate Radflo coilovers in, going 200/250 with help of the PNW crew, along with 2" radflo air bumps

And Chris just shot me this pic last night, the truss and the mounts are off and the axle is a clean slate. Ready to start the fabbin.

That’s gonna be awesome man. When’s the next Moab trip?!

came out great!

Let me know on your next Moab trip. Would like to hook up w/ y'all and wheel?
If your path comes through Colorado let me know, So good trails to hit that are off I70

Haven't done any updates recently, wanted to see about sprucing this page up a touch:

Since the 3 link I've done 2 things:

1. Changed out the beadlocks for some normal wheels that were DOT approved. Literally nobody would touch my beadlocks and no amount of beads was getting a decent balance on these things. Since I am still driving this and doing some longer road hours, I made the choice to throw back on some SCS's. One day I'm going to take the plunge into some DOT approved beadlocks and get back to that low low psi.

2. Went in on some hydro assist. Got a PSC reservoir, PSC Ram and upgraded the steering box to a redhead steering box that was pre tapped and ported for hydro assist. Lemme tell you this - man our power steering pump sucks. If anyone ever figures out how to get better flow out of our pump, please let me know so I can turn this monster a little quicker.

Outside of doing those two things, I just finally got the 3.12:1 crawler gears and will get around to installing them in a couple weeks.

After that I've just been wheeling it! Damn last year this thing was in the shop for far too long waiting on getting the front finished up and making sure I didn't tear up the body too much from the new travel. I missed a good chunk of last wheeling season and I didn't want to mess it up this year. Goal is still to build out a rear axle and 4 link the rear w/ some big boy coilovers through the floor but that won't happen until this season is over.

It's an easy answer for me, not for you  If a rebuilt stock pump doesn't do what you want then you'll need to build a mount for a custom high-flow PS pump. You can use google.

FWIW, I have a saginaw pump on my 60 with a FZJ80 box (105 sector shaft). No hydro assist yet. Turns my 42s pretty darn well on and offroad. Still want hydro assist for steering in the rocks, but it works very, very well.

I may be down your way Trey, def hitting uwharrie again need more footage

Long time Instagram follower, first time Mud commenter. Love your build, would definitely enjoy hitting the trail with you sometime. Cheers, mate!

Got around to putting the corbeau seats in. These are the Baja Wides on planted brackets. Love the way they sit. Dropped the tcase and put in the marlin low range reduction gears. Wheeled it a few more times and got to meet up with @1ton_taco on IG! His Tacoma is monstrous - d60 front and rear, 4 link front and rear on coilovers.

What happened to his windshield?
