He makes front and rear. I removed my rear so just have the front disco.
Any idea why he emailed me back saying discos wont work for the GX? Makes no sense to me. Not to mention you literally run them on your GX you said above... LMK

Makes no sense. It is literally the same front end. Pulled them off the FJC and bolted them right up to the GX.

Hmm very strange. Hes saying that the sway bars are slightly different which makes the nut fall off and destroy the CV? Is that the modifications you made for that reason?

I don’t recall the sway bar being any thicker. I have another FJC now so can double check. There were slight differences between the 07-09 FJ and the 10-14 FJ but they still work.
I went with a jamb nut and a lock nut and had no other issues with plenty of thread purchase.
Worth noting, having the sway bar relocate kit vs not does make a difference in geometry. I had binding when disconnected without the spacer and it corrected itself once I added the relocate kit.
I pulled the lift and all accessories off of the FJC and mounted everything on the GX over a weekend and do not recall any problems. I ended up pulling the discos last year as they need rebuilt and haven’t gotten around to fixing them.

It seems every aftermarket sway bar link for lifted GXs are 1" longer than stock. So are 3rd gen 4Runner links. That's what I used for my 3" Dobinsons IMS lift. Got them from Rockauto cheap. To be fair, I haven't had a chance to offroad them yet.

Weirdly he actually said THINNER which makes even less sense. But even if it was thicker, why not just get a slightly thinner nut for more threading?
I have sway bar relocate kit (tho I hope its the right one and I can test it before I run out of time to return). Icon makes very similar ones and some confusion as to the right one.

The whole rebuild thing sort of feels like its not worth it, typical end links will last 100k-200k miles, is it because yours are the older non-booted style that he now offers?

Are you talking about front or rear? We're talking about Front.

My bad. I'm talking about the rear.

You can see by my earlier pics that mine were not booted and the NE winters took a toll on them. Was going to rebuild with boots but been busy with other things and really don’t wheel the GX that hard.
