Hey gang:

So I spent a chunk of NYE swapping out a stripped DS power seat gear for a fresh Gamiviti one. Got everything put back together only to find that only one of the two sides of the seat seems to be moving (right side seems jammed).

So I’m going to take the whole thing apart again, but before I do, two quick questions:

1. Is there a drive gear for each rail? Or just the one?

2. My PS seat still works (slowly). Is it a super dumb idea to just swap the entire drive mechanism to the DS seat? (My tiny wife needs to drive it and I don’t care if the PS doesn’t move)

Anyway, could be I coughed while tightening the stupid white cap and the whole thing is just 1/64” off square. My kingdom for a manual seat.

#1 - yes there are two gears on each seat. You need to also make sure both rails are aligned in sync.

#2 - you can make the swap but sooner or later the need to move the passenger seat will happen.

Beautiful, @ppc thanks. Hopefully it’s just the other gear causing he mischief.
