My wife said I need to get serious. Price drop.

It’s time to let her go. The kids are leaving home, camping trips are way down and I walk by this every morning and jump in the car to commute to work thinking I should be using it more. I’d rather see it go to someone who can appreciate it for the beast that it is. It has not been on a salted road since 2020. I have taken care of this to the best of my ability, and it has been super reliable. It runs down the road perfectly straight and the supercharger is a dream on hills and highways.

Buy it, drive it, wheel it, baby it; it needs nothing. If I kept it, the only think I would consider adding is a dual battery setup and some additional plugs / outlets inside.

Basics:

  • 1995 FZJ80
  • 213,000 miles
  • Toyota TRD Supercharger (recent oil change)
  • Slee Shortbus FR bumper
  • Slee Rear bumper with swingout
  • Swingout added later
  • WARN M12k Winch with remote
  • Sliders
  • Transfer Case skid plate
  • Catalytic Converter Skid plates
  • 2.5” Dobinson Heavies with Long Travel shocks
    • OE (toyota t100 ?? I think = can't remember) extended length brake lines FR/RR
  • 35” Yokohama Geolander Tires
  • Triple Factory Lockers (center diff, FR, Rear)
  • Landtank upgraded fan clutch (orange) with stock OEM fan…S/C kits revert to puny 4runner fans.
  • Bowfin Cruiser Roof Rack
History:

  • Have owned and cared for this since OCT 2011 – purchased in Colo and has traveled to MT, FL, VA, PA, MA, and back to VA where I live now. Has never let me down on the road.
  • Rebuilt (West Texas offroad) gear box
  • Rebuilt PS pump – all new high pressure lines
  • Rebuilt FR/Rear axles
  • FR tie rod ends (OEM)
  • New ish radiator (180k miles)
  • Brand new exhaust front to back with cats, muffler, resonator, and downpipe - $2,500.00
  • Update: Newly Rebuilt Transmission with 3 yr/36mi warranty (OEM parts/synthetic AMSOIL) - $5200.00
  • Update: Rebalanced rear drive shaft, new OEM U-Joints - $500.00
  • Everything works except rear defroster (never has), and rear windows are getting slow
Body/Frame:
  • No Factory roof rack (no leaks)
  • Roof, hood, and fender flares repainted. Fender flares clear coat is starting to peel
  • Rear tailgate top painted
  • No body rust, some small dents and scratches
  • Interior is in great shape. One hole in rear seat repaired, some fade on rear carpet.
  • Foam under front seats is degrading, but no rips in fabric.
  • Carpet in good/great shape
  • Frame is great. I won’t say the name of the reputable land cruiser guy (VA), but when I had it there for a small 02 sensor bracket weld, he said it was the cleanest 80 he’s ever seen. There is some frame scale, but I get after it every year and hit with wire wheel, ospho.
Known Issues:
  • Rear defroster does not work.
  • Crack on dash and driver door
  • Missing driver side drip molding
  • Windows are slow; need to clean contacts
  • Front passenger door handle loose
  • FR, Driver Side Birfield has started to show some signs of needing a possible rebuild (at least inner axle seal). I’m surprised it is leaking as I did this at ~180k. I used Marlin Crawler inner seals vs OEM?

This should sell fast great price for a nice looking with some good modifications 80!

Some complete shots might help. Front, side, etc. Great rig. If I can sell my 40 in time, I'm interested. Unless, of course, you're interested in a LS swapped FJ40???? Ehhhhhh?
