Suggestion for new notification

Would it be possible to get a notification when someone 'quotes' one of your posts? At first glance it seems like a nifty idea, but I suppose it could get annoying as hell. It could be disabled by user if it was a problem, like any notification. I'm guessing this function would have to be part of the forum package from vBulletin though.

yeah, that'd have to be a vB thing, and I agree that it could drive you nuts quick

plus, there are dozens of ways to edit the quote to suppress a notification...not worth it

Yeah, I'm on like 5 times a day now.

I was thinking more like the PM notification, not an e-mail thing, and I was thinking of tech, not Chat. Usually in tech if someone quotes you they have a question, and I hate to see those slip away.
