Hey Poser,

He must of sold at least one of those decal kits.

This was north of Babbit mid 90's. Sorry for the bad pics, but no doubt that decal.

They were a Toyota item...at least they were in Toyota bags....he did not 'have them made'.

Three weeks after I bought my fj40 in 1978 I scratched the drivers side to metal... Time to add a stripe! I liked the orange against the dune beige. The whole stripe screen was just to set up the rhino heads in the doors! Repainted 2 years ago and still thinking about putting them back...

Man i love those stripes on a cruiser...

Check out the stripes on my profile pic. I don't own the truck anymore. When I bought it I thought the first thing I'd do is paint it. I ended up loving the look. Not factory, may have been a dealer option, no idea.

That's one of the few style things I like from the 1970's and 80's. The use of pinstripes and cool decals and bright colors on cars.

Modern cars are so boring. Beige, gray, white, beige again, more gray, "champagne" beige, black, more beeeeeige. Endless sea of beige.

Stripes are really polarizing. Even in my own mind. One day I LOVE them, the next, I don't. I ALMOST bought a cruiser that had a rad dragon/warrior scene airbrushed on the hood. The hardtop had fantasy scenes etched into the side glass. I think it was the cheesy dragon that scared me away. Today I half wish I would have embraced it.

Anyway, I play around in photoshop a lot and this is what I might do someday if I'm in a mood... Not my truck (photo borrowed), but similar color. I have the later wagon wheels so I "painted these". The shell ivory is off in the photoshop. It should be less yellow, more tan... anyway, you get the idea. A lot of car wrap stuff out now is very removable if you get tired of it.
I saw Cruiser Corps selling decal kits for the 60 series CruiserCorps Corsetti decals. I could easy replicate the "OEM" Land Cruiser decals from earlier posts and sell them on here...
