Hey everybody, just to let everyone know my 86HJ60 was stolen out of my driveway last night in chilliwack so if anyone is out this way or on a trail keep an eye out for it. It is white, sprung over with 35's, safari snorkel, warn 8274 on the front....so I am pretty much lost with out it so if anyone see's it call the police or message me or something. Thanks alot.

Eyes peeled on the Southern Island.

Plate number? Pic?

Man, sorry to hear of that..

Hope you find it soon.

Just a thought... when my 4Runner was stolen from Vancouver it was recovered (abandoned due to a fried fuel pump) about 10 minutes from the Cloverdale crossing. The cops figured it was going to cross the border with WA plates and get chopped there. I'd give the WA clubs a heads-up so they can keep eyes open down there, too.

You might luck out and get it back - I got mine back after two weeks on the lam!

IH8thieves. :(

this sucks 3rd cruiser to be stolen out your way in a year, after the last one was stolen i put a fuel cut off switch on mine , and my club . i hope you get it back and every one else put an ignition or fuel cut off in super easy and cheap to do.

When I visit my folks in Abbotsford (where Nickw ad his truck stolen) I park it in such a way that they'd have to cut off the club to move it and it's in the condo compound, not on the street (where Nickw parked).

They eventually found Nickw's truck at a 7-11 after it had been there for a few weeks.

I am sorry to hear that,. It happened to me twice, keep your reciepts together, in case it is not found good luck.

FWIW I used the Club. The thieves don't cut the Club - they cut the steering wheel. A new Toyota truck wheel is $20 from any wrecker, in a criminal's choice of colour, even.

An alarm with an immobilizer is the only way to go. Even the flashing red light can be a deterrent.

s***ty deal! keep an eye on "paid parking" parking lots, that's where my '84bj42 was found when i was living in Van. time had run out on the pay tickets and got towed. they'll park a vehicle, pay for parking, find a buyer and they're not caught in posession of it.
good luck!

Darn, and here I was hoping your last post was "it's found!". Here's hoping, and keeping an eye out in Abby.

Will keep an eye out for it . Hoping for a safe recovery 4 ya.

so sorry...

I blame it on a too lenient of a justice system, it seems like the gov makes money on every vehicle being stolen...(job creation or whatever)
and then they rub it in with articles in the local news papers saying that top car thrives have been caught and released the next day over 200 times!!! WTF???

I hope you get your truck back, and soon...

I couldnt' agree more with your assessment, Marcin.

sorry i took so long to reply....they found the cruiser last sunday night up chilliwack lake road, just after borden creek, there is a trail on the right going up the mountain to a clear cut, it was found just up there. it was smashed so bad the front doors couldn't be opened, the back doors couldn't be closed. winch was some how taken off, even though it was welded and bolted on, snorkel was ripped off. they took absolutely everything inside which was some of my camping stuff, tow ropes, cds, stereo, and they also took the 24volt power inverter out from under the hood, which makes me think maybe they knew exactly what they wanted and own another cruiser. the tires were taken aswell...they even took dirty shop rags from under my seats. so anyways just fighting with icbc now...they offered me $6000, but i found some more receipts and i also want to get some stuff out of the truck so i'm talking to them again on tuesday.

here's what it looks like now :crybaby:

A--HOLES!No respect for others. What goes around, comes around. When these A--HOLES grow the HELL up and the same happens to them(and it will (karma)) they'll be bitchin but will have no right to.

That makes me sick!

Don't let ICBC get you on the money. It is bad enough to have to loose your pride and joy to some stupid low lifes. There have been a number of postings of nice 60s (LIKE YOUR'S) for sale for a lot more money. Print off the postings from here, Craigslist and elsewhere and go for the top dollar price. Anything you start out with in a price they will want to wear you down significantly.
