Thanks, I think I'll try a bit closer to home firstI have 5 new ones painted Cygnus white and 4 patina’d ones. All are 15” and welded to accommodate disc brakes. Located in west TN.
Thanks. They're for a 71/ 72 . (The one on the right)Post an ad in the general classifieds as well if you haven't already. 40 series rims are the same as the 55. You should also specify if you are looking for '72 specific rims, which are riveted, or the later welded rims ('76 and up IIRC).
I understand that but both will fit your 55 and both will look more or less the same. As already said, the difference is with the later welded rims you can convert the front to disk brakes. The riveted rims won't fit over disks. If I were you, I would open my search to both. You won't know the difference once they are installed.Thanks. They're for a 71/ 72 . (The one on the right)
Thanks for the tip. Disk brakes would definitely be an improvementI understand that but both will fit your 55 and both will look more or less the same. Central Cal about 4 hrs away, but having heard about options, I'm a bit torn on this. What are you asking for them?I have some riveted stock wheels in Camino, Ca. 95709
Where are you?
