I have front and rear shafts from a 76, 78, and 79 40 series.
The TUBE section of these shafts all measure as follows:
15.50" of tube for the front shaft
7.50" of tube for the rear shaft
The rest of the four speed driveshaft components are identical, the ONLY difference will be the length of the tube.
Good luck!
-Steve
Okay 75-80 Anyone own a stock cruiser? All my loose driveshafts are at another location. Why would a 74/79/80 be any different the 75-78?
I Keep finding 8 1/2" rears weld to weld, and do have 15 1/2" fronts. How much travel on the above 28.5 and 21 inchers? Thanks, John
