I seem to be lacking an intact stock FJ40 with stock 4spd and tcase. I am trying to work out which drivelines belong to this truck. How long is a stock front and stock rear from say a 1978 FJ40? Thanks for your help!

    I have front and rear shafts from a 76, 78, and 79 40 series.

The TUBE section of these shafts all measure as follows:

15.50" of tube for the front shaft

7.50" of tube for the rear shaft

The rest of the four speed driveshaft components are identical, the ONLY difference will be the length of the tube.

    Good luck!
