Very cool man,

I think once I get my nice new doors on I will take them off to wheel the hard stuff. Ill let you know if they dont fit back on ;)

bolt a door up and let us see it already!

i know damn! you can post videos of you wheelin with full doors but you cant post a picture of just a door bolted on?

ok ok... Kling-on got me inspired to get this project going again. My wife left for the night and I managed to get the baby down pretty early.

Looks great! Is it not good to cut the top portions off as well? Looks like it would be easier and smoother. I saw a set of 40 1/4 doors that were done with 3" exhaust tubing on the top, they were sweet!! (I think it was on Pirate 4x4?) Dont know how to work in the latch doing somethign like that though. I am sure that they were more comfortable though.

I have spare doors so i am considering this.

When I made mine I just cut the whole top part off! I figured I would just weld-uin some supports across the inside, but I just put a few bars across the top and it worked fine to stiffen it up! I havent had the chance to install them yet, seeing as my engine blew just after finishing and I just got my truck back at the beginning of winter. Its not neccessary to keep the top part. Jeep owners do it, because they have the Unibody, so if the doors are taken out then the body/frame will flex and it never goes quite back the same so doors won't fit as well. LC owners do it for the piece of mind and it gives something to pull on when entering a highly lifted vehicle!

yeah, its gettin harder and harder to keep my top and the rear end of this on every trip I go out on. I plan on keeping the top and rear on at least through this winter season and who knows after that...

That is one Big Blue Beast!
