Standard height coils lift my lc76 about 2 inch! Please Help!

Hi everyone

I have absolutely no experience about car modification or suspension so please excuse my ignorance

I have LC 76, 2025 with 1GR FE V6 engine
Car relatively new only had about 15K in odometer

I replaced my factory rims and tyres from 16 inch 265 to 17 inch wheel and 285/70/17

And also added some drawers and water tank and some loads around 200-230Kg so car sags a little and I decide to do some lift

At Dobinson dealer here I only found 1 type of lead springs and coils whic is:

- L59-021-r leaf
-C59-454V “ Variable Rate Standard Height “ coils
- IMS Shocks

If I understand correctly, per website the coils not to supposed to make lift but dealer says they will lift somewhere between 2-3cm however after installing it lift about 4.1cm even thought I have factory winch but no modifications

Lead spring rated at 5cm but he says this is with empty loads and it should lift less than that around 4 cm but real results after installing that it lift exactly 6cm Which is higher than anticipated or rated or what I wanted!! Btw “ water tank and gas tank is 75% full.

• Is this normals and these ratings for leafs and coils before buying not accurate ?
• do they need some time to settle and become lower?

I appreciate the suggestions if there’s a modification to lower the car from front and back around 2cm.

I see this all the time with with the Dobinson springs
I run there 2” springs and get 3” of lift.

I wonder if they ever explained it to you ?

I emailed them asking for explanation even about the leafs and no response! I’m so frustrated.

There made in Australia like just about every aftermarket Toyota Springs.
Watch some YouTube videos of Off Road in the outback. They carry everything well beyond the kitchen sink.
This is my opinion based on reading thousands of threads and unless your vehicle is heavily laden your going to get more lift then advertised.
I bought my springs used from another Mud member because the springs were giving him more lift than he wanted and was advertised.

I bought the "stock" height coil springs from Dobinson, and I am glad I did. They were pushing / highly recommending the 2" lift with their matched bushings. Their Stock Height Springs on my vehicle was easily 2" above what I had with the worn out Toyota springs. I would stay with Stock Height on the springs, IMO, unless you are doing serious off-roading and going big on tires.

That’s unfortunate..
They do make a good quality products but such a huge difference in rate is something I just cannot accept .. I was looking for just a little lift

I can get around with the rear with removing one leaf but the front? Heard that some people cut the coil to reduce height but I won’t do that and I’ll keep looking for alternative that doesn’t lift more than 2cm.

The only reason I changed the coils is because these new tires and rims was rubbing the front bumper sometimes and the car sags a little so I thought a little 2cm lift won’t hurt..

Then go with stock height. I'm an Americano. I was talking Inches, not Centimeters. You will be happy with stock height Dobinsons! Your aftermarket tires will NOT rub on anything 33" inches and below assuming you still have your stock Toyota Rims. Good Luck!
