that's it!!

back it in and hang a tarp.

you have no idea how many times i spent working like that in the snow last year.

i have hooks over my garage door to hook a tarp and then hang it over a truck and tie it off.

Actually I think I have one of those pop up tents somewhere in my mess in the garage. I wonder if it will stradle the cruiser.... hmmm. I'll give it a try!

Holly crap .. ! I will send this thread to Rachel .. maybe she got some ideas for my birthday gift as your wife do .. !

something like this right?

How'd I miss this? Crud, I must be getting old. So, you planning to integrate a grade 3+ hitch with one of these "self build" kits? Just filled my Argon tank yesterday, and might have to find more about this bad boy.

no problem tacking up a hitch and sending it with it.
BPs body lift and bumper mounts made it iffy to get the hitch to look clean.

looks frickin NICE!
Im diggin the bender too! That was a very generous gift from the :princess:!
Cant wait to see the assembly of the bumper!

no notcher... Just a grinder and a sharpie. Do u think one of those harbor freight notchers would just be a waste of money?

As far as a hitch... I have enough butt pucker just going around long corners.

The HF notcher (the better one) is still a ball of junk. Bought it and returned it the same day. I had some hopes.

HF notcher works ok... Most likely use it for 90s and slight angles. I also learned that holesaws have those two holes in the top for a reason. Helps the threads under torque (I killed the holesaw threads on my first attempt). Oh well, I ended up just welding a hefty nut to the top of the holesaw.

One step closer. :)

Sweet dude. I'll be watching, and can't wait to see the finished project.

By the way... whoever tells you plasma cutters arent fun to use is lying. It was the first time I actually got to use it for something useful and it sure beat the hell outta trying to pry rusty nuts...I hate rusty nuts. :)

Anyone want to see what the new one looks like?

hahahaa....

little tight but I think I can make it work. I think it ended up being just a bit short on width but I think I can just "V" the side protection and it'll work or I'll just add a hitch in the middle and that'll be all the width I need. I'm seriously impressed by how freakin close you got by my measurements over the phone... seriously impressed. OK OK enough with the jibber jabber..
