I will see what it actually draws.

Na not using it on the Macan. I don't do any coding on the Macan. The Cayman I just did minor stuff like changing the coolant temperature to be 1:1, steering wheel profile to GT3 etc..

Can you charge the battery quickly with the Powermax?

Do NOT use the PowerMax or other to charge your battery. It's not made for that as it will not dose but provide a continuous current level. Quick charges for batteries not made for that will cause early demise of same.

If you keep enough throttle you won't see the eco light

What is the purpose of this (black) part? The grey rubber behind it extends towards the rear and there is another black plastic insert. I guess I can see what the rubber is for, but it doesn't extend forward as far as the windshield moulding leaving a huge gap. The second photo is not my vehicle but looks the same and shows the gap.

Covers mounting holes and clips to the bolts there. You’re missing a piece of rubber right here

Yup - both missing that piece - it slides under the black piece and also under the windshield trim piece

Edit - edited post above to add the link to the piece

Thanks @nwfl4runner. Now that I know what it to look for, it seems that many others are also missing the rubber pieces. I live in the desert SouthWest so moisture is not really an issue. They've been missing in the 6-7 years that I've owned the vehicle. Not sure if I'll bother to replace them.

IMO lots of sun is another reason to have them in place. That channel is where the side and roof body panels are welded together, then a sealant is applied, then painted over. If the paint or sealant succumb to UV damage the next obstacle is the welded area.

The rubber strips have a metal rib molded into them, and if you have to bend them significantly to install they tend to keep that bend and want to fly out. If you do decide to replace it, remove the plastic part by pushing in the direction of the arrows. Installed correctly (clean the area before install), and preventing power-washer type spraying in the area, they stay put very well. My truck was missing a few when I got it. I replaced them, and 130k miles later they are all still there.

Ugh, is that double sided tape on these windshield moulding clips or is it just a mounting pad secured to the clip? Neither my wife nor I could get them started even using a razor blade under magnification.

Per the FSM you put a flexible epoxy under the pad to bond it to the mounting location in the channel.

Lots of windshield installers just use the black urethane. I did the epoxy 8+ years ago and when I had a panel installed a few years back the installer mentioned how surprised he was that the metal clips stayed in place during the molding removal.

Thanks everyone. I'm sure I'm overthinking this but it sounds like I'm supposed to remove the old double-sided tape from the vehicle and clean the surface (per the FSM-Notice), and then epoxy the new clips in place.

Back to my original question, the white pads on the clips must not be double-sided tape, so I'll just glue them in place.

The FSM also says to primer the body and *not* let the primer dry(???) but I'll just let that one slip by.

Correct, not double sided tape. That whole pad gets glued to the vehicle. And yes remove the old double sided stuff.

I didn't do the primer on mine, has worked fine so far. I also didn't use the specific 3M product they listed.. at the time I couldn't find it in anything other than a bucket-sized volume. I got 8oz or so of flexible epoxy from a company called "total boat" or something along those lines.

IMO the "flexible" attribute of the epoxy is important as it'll better handle the heat cycling of being on the roof of the vehicle.

trying to track down an odd issue/feeling..

from a full stop, when I let go of the brakes, it feels like a 2 step process.
you don't feel it in the car or anything, just on the brake pedal...like the pedal has come up but feeling of the brakes being released doesn't feel instant/together.
and when it does, it almost feels like a soft thud.
it only happens randomly. i haven't found a common denominator yet.

pads/rotors/calipers/lines/fluid are ~only 1500 miles old.
transmission fluid was drained/filled 3x last weekend.
TC fluid also is pretty new.

I haven't greased the driveshafts...could this be it?

EDIT: AI seems to think it could be related to master cylinder or brake booster? hmm

i wish i could turn off the obnoxious DOOR OPEN. WINDOWS OPEN warnings.
so freaking annoying!
Yes I wish the same. I also wish I could turn off the dumb warning that pops up on screen after starting my vehicle, that reminds me to obey traffic laws. WTF. It’s 100 degrees outside and I’m trying to crank up the AC ASAP, but I have to sit and stare at this dumb Toyota reminder for 5 seconds before I can do anything.

Consider yourself blessed as Porsche has way outdone that. They buried the Homelink into the PCM so now you get to gas yourself for over a minute while you watch ambient lighting and other "essential" modules boot waiting to access the **&*&^%R%$ HomeLink so you can open the garage door. After much clamor it seems they now placed it as part of the mirror my 2021 LC200 already sports. And no we can't upgrade the PCM version for those of us in the 2020-2022 model years.

HOWEVER back to the future to the rescue; clip the original remote to the visor and pronto a 1980s fix to a non problem the overpaid engineers solved. And if that was the only idiocy P installed or removed (like the AM radio, the wiper with no washer., a shifter that looks like a Braun shaver..) but I digress.
