Some how I can't see me installing a LED screen on the dash of a FJ40. That is until I follow John (@Landpimp ) lastest mod to his 77 FJ40 then I would have no choice. Just wish I had a Hot Tub trailer to go with it.

Here is another thing to think about, the restricted view in the rear view mirror with ambulance doors.

I have limited rear view any way with my third row attic rack and swing away tire carrier.

Client came in today after selling her pristine 62 for this modified 62. This is the one rig I think I would consider trading my 80 for ~

1989 FJ62 professionally grafted onto a 80 frame/suspension with a 5.3 vortec V8 by TLC4x4 - DROOOOOL!

This job was so comprehensive, everything works and is even California title approved. details like things where the 62 frame Vin was welded over the 80 frame Vin. cold AC, totally quiet with full body sound deadener, etc, etc, etc. just wow - checks all the boxes for me.

Taxi Collectivos trucks. We took these with locals. You all decide who is going to a similar area and pile in. 7 to a truck. Much cheaper than the tourist taxis.

Still rocking the Aisin's too.

The competition... There were a ton of LR Santana's. 110 and 90 wheelbase. The Chinese trucks like the one on the left only seemed to be used by the gvt.

Those FJ40s are like Lay's potato chips, can't just seem to have just one. The one with the winch is a 66 or 67. The bezel threw me off. Picked up one like it years ago that was paint black just like this one. Since the bezel came off a earlier model why get and installed it if your not going to paint the lettering a different color.
