 What kind of wheels are those? Size? :bounce:

Ok, I'll take some pics this weekend. For the start of this season only a few changes/repairs are gonna get done. With the WE-Rock events all nearby, I am gonna kick the season off in Attica next weeknd. Not exactly jumping up n down at going to Jellico 4 times, but, thats where/how the Eastern events got started!

Biggest changes/mods are:

Replacing the Fox coil overs with new Bilsteins, DONE.
Making a legal floor, all .040 3031 aluminum. More the 50% done, with all the panels cut and fitted, and driver side mounted. Less than 4 hours to finish, I hope.
Move the battery mount to rear of chassis, lengthen the positive cable. No biggie. not even started!
Repair previously legal frame cut outs, this will probably be super booty fab since the rules allow scabbing a "like" shape of .120 wall material to the opposite side of the cut out. Causing some mods to the radiator mount to be made. Bogus, if ypou ask me, but required.
Gotta replace the 2 side panels I trashed at the SEMA show, again no biggie, just time consuming.
Install the (not yet shipped) Advance Adapters remote Atlas shifters. These are cool, cable operated so I can locate them where I want, instead of on the tcase.
Then there is the little stuff, replace a couple of steel brake lines with stainless, and get my alternator rebuilt. Oooops, I better call somebody on that now!

Pics later!

Finally got a few pics. One shot of NEW Bilsteins, and a few of the floor, shifters and required front fenders.

Todays Pics, Yeah we are finally getting around to the drivetrain swap. 4.3 Vortec, 700r4, Atlas. Front of the frame will cut at the highest point of the arch over the axle. New sections of 2x4 tubing will be used to bring it out to UROClegal, front edge of tires. Scout box will be used. Planning to use a Howell-Efi harness and programming. Gotta trip to the boneyard planned to get the rest of the needed brackets and accessories for the motor.

AJ cutting the stock motor mounts off, notice he has safety gear on!

Mike I would bet they will be too wide, I think the for and aft position you need is going to be near the same as we have, it is about as far forward as we can get and still use the stock belt drive and radiator position.
You should have bought the harness I just sold......it was a CPI non OBDII painless for $175 :crybaby: :crybaby:

That would have required me to pay attention! I am setting this motor as far back as it will go. I'll cut the firewall if needed. I need the weight balanced better and after rough measuring, the 700 r4 and adapter are almost as long as the 420 and toybox. If I get lkucky the Atlas will be in the same place as it was, but cocked up flat.
