Spring pin/Shackle pin sizes?

Ok... got one out. Verified 18mm.

So... I want to replace at least 8 of these. I am considering going to 3/4" all around to save a considerable amount of money but I'm worried that will add a boatload of work...

Otherwise I need to find a source for the stock solid 18mm pins... I am trying to source good used ones if anyone has...

Here's the one I pulled today... it is packed solid with hardened grease - couldn't easily poke through the grease in the hole with a sharp awl (how often should these be greased to avoid that problem?)

The stock shackles had the big end pressed into one side of the shackle. It is very sturdy and held captive by the tight fit. The pin doesn't wobble at all.

The other shackle plate fits on the end of the two pin/bolts and bottom outs against the larger machined end of the pins. When the shackles nuts are torqued tight, the side plate is clamped hard against the pin's stop but the bushing doesn't get squished together. The whole unit is extremely stiff and rigid once clamped together... but the bushing has room to move.

If just regular old bolts are inserted in drilled out larger holes in the shackle plates, there won't be any rigidity at all and the whole assembly will be loose. Whenever the car is at an angle (rock crawling) the frame puts tons of twisting force of on the shackles. The stock shackles don't twist, but drilled out shackles with sliding bolts will. And when the shackle tilts when either turning at speed or crawling, it will grind the bushing to hellion and may create a looser feeling truck.

Well it does seem like twisting shackles would be a "good thing" when rock crawling but I can see the problem for street/highway stability, maybe. That said I would love to score some proper 18mm solid shackle bolts that don't cost a fortune each. Anyone have a reasonable source?
