All four of these 40s are SOA. The yellow and Green are daily drivers but the others have pretty decent road manners as well.

After having an LC with a stock SUA, I'd say the Toyota engineers did a poor job in offering the most inefficent & lackluster type of design available.

For what it is, it is not a bad setup. Simple, cheap, and functional. I think that Toyota gave us a pretty good base for building what we build now. They never could have imagined what the cruisers would turn into. Hell, I bet you the biggest light truck tire available in the 60's was 31".

They could have done worse, they could have built a heep!
