I have 187k miles so I guess I will inspect, maybe the needle bearing did go bad after a mud hole. I was chasing a rotational clunk ended up being a ring gear in the front diff. I guess needle bearing should be next. My FDS did have some marking on them but it I wouldn’t have thought that can be the case. The way I check wheel bearing, to see if need replacing. Is during wheel bearing service. I first wipe races clean. Then inspect races. Any concerns with races, I replace the wheel bearings & races. If races okay. I'll then clean bearing and inspect them. Any concerns with bearings. Same, I replace the wheel bearings & races.
