I more worried about 130lb of dog hitting me in the back of the head.

Anyway to disable the curtain airbag?

Anyone have one of the factory safety pictures with the airbags deployed?

That I can sympathize. Porter and I today. Not quite 130lbs but I don't want him flying forward either. He is the reason Speski Offroad LTD was born.

I can't recommend disabling the airbags.

The dog looks as serious as the owner. Don't know which is which tho' :D . What "make and model" is that?

The curtain airbags can be disabled with a button, but only the roll-sensing function. Not the side-impact deployment. I don't know how far back there are airbags. E.g: Is the 3rd row covered? And that would be only in vehicles with a 3rd row. What about a 5 seat version - would the barrier be ok then? There must be a way of disconnecting the 3rd row only, if there is a separate airbag. These are Q's we ought to find the A's for. I'll see what I can dig up - but if a dealer-techie or other enthusiast knew the answer...

I found this drawing - but the FSM does not have any reference to difference between 2 and 3 seat-row versions. Looks like there is one continous curtain assembly - but difficult to say for sure without the assembly in hand.

Just received my Speski Offroad cargo barrier from FedEx this morning. Took me all of 10 minutes to install. I like the fact that it attaches without drilling any holes, high quality fit and finish. Thanks Corbet.

Thanks, that is great to hear.

Off topic but a quick question:
Hey, Corbet, do you know the Martins down here in San Clemente?
I may know you...

I can't think of any Martins that I would now out that direction.
