went out to check a 2009 & a 2013 200.

09 has nuts the 13 is the same as the 11no nuts .guess Toyota has put them on a diet less weight certainly less work on there part:)

though Christo said NO mods to frame mount would like to see lower plate under the frame to take the shear lead off the mount bolts that is one heavy L/C:D

With the size of the rear L shaped plate we felt the front one was adequate with 4 bolts to hold it in. Now we just have to figure out the nuts inside the frame.

the lean is 13mm higher on passenger side would have thought it would have been lower due to fuel tank & it`s full

Are you sure it is not the KDSS pulling the truck into a lean? I know on the 4Runner with KDSS it could do that. Toyota's spec for the amount of permissible lean is way more than 13mm.

As to coming out to your event, would love to , just not in the cards timing wise right now.

It is virtually impossible to get this kind of info from Toyota. We would have to determine when they decided to change this. I know we did two 2011's in the shop last year, and never had the issue. I guess we will have to ask owner to check their trucks first until we determine when the production date was for the change.

This would not be the first time we were thrown a curve ball like this. I guess they saved 2oz in weight and cost for welding 8 nuts.

yes asking first might help it`s very obvious to see whether your vehicle has em or not or even a couple pics for those that still arn`t sure.
might help if ya knew what they were used for by Toyota then possible a production date when that item was deleted.

and yes for Toyota it was all bout the $:D

they dod look good & fit well:)

Christo if you B interested in how I did it, feel free to call:cheers:

The Slee sliders do fit well and I am pleased. Now if only I could get Christo to cover some of the extra labor and fab costs. That would be awesome!

Yeah, you haven't even gotten my bill yet... fortunately for you, I'm used to working for Medicaid and if you get a bill for $10 and I get $4.00 back, then that would be the "norm".

Oh no! My power steering return line caught the alternator pulley and drowned the alternator. I didn't notice at first, but I slowly started noticing things starving for amps. Last night my headlights were dim and my stereo was cutting in and out. This morning, it barely turned over and after driving to town and back, there was no improvement. I ordered a new alternator tonight, but it won't be here for awhile. I hope I get a shipping confirmation this week or I might be out of this trip.

I ordered from rock auto. They had the best price. I called around to local stores and I would have to wait and pay shipping no matter who I got it from. Rock auto said 3 to 5 days, but slapped me in the face with the confirmation email that said it was a non-stock item and would not ship for approximately 5 business days.

Anyway,I have 3 bad alternators for this engine and haven't had time to get one rebuilt. I would really like to covert to something with better availability like a GM unit. However, the vacuum pump is married to the alternator. So, I need to find some sort of affordable electric vacuum pump before I can use an alternative alternator.

Ok. I was going to say if you can make the drive and you had bought it from one of the national parts stores (pep boys, advanced, etc.) was going to suggest to have them ship it to a HS store. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed for ya'.

WOW Ryan. That will certainly suck if you can't make it. Who did you order it from?

I'm still exhausting my resources. Rock Auto had the right Alternator which is the 55amp. I suppose the 70A that Paul has is a 2lt-e specific and the "-e" part may suggest it needs the extra current. Rock Auto can get the one I need, but it will take awhile. They called me after I ordered it and let me know that it would be on back order unless I wanted to purchase a new one which is what I may end up doing. O'Reilly sent out an Inquiry yesterday in an attempt to see if a manufacturer has a reman for me, since they say that they sell the one I need. They said that should have an answer today. I also need to go test the others I have in storage at my dad's, maybe I can get lucky there. It's just that I probably can't get over there by the weekend, and that's too late.

I pulled the alt and vacuum pump last night and bench tested it next to another toyota alt I had lying around. Other alt tested good. I get nothing on the diesel alt. Tore it apart to find the drive side bearing is wasted, brushes are beyond usable, and there's an open somewhere in the regulator that I can't find.

I would hate to borrow one and destroy it in the process of wheeling. I'll find something or come up with something otherwise. Maybe I'll chain a bunch of batteries together. This thing doesn't really need much power unless I want to run the fans, listen to the radio, or use headlights, all useless anyway.
