Souther California 100 Series Wanted

New member here,

I am in the market for a 100 series in Souther California.

I have found one that has an odometer that stopped working at 190,000

This is seeming a little suspicious to me. I asked the seller for the vin so I can run a CARFAX report.

Should I be worried about the odometer stopping, should this concern me?

The truck seems solid in EVERY other way, minus missing the third row and some very minor body damage.

Is it poor form for me to share a craigslist ad on here?

I am not sure if the odometer being out would be a deal breaker for me without looking at the truck first but I think you are on the right track by running a Carfax. You may be able to get a reasonable idea of how many miles are on the truck and how long the odometer has been broken. I have no idea what the cost of repairing an odometer is. Sharing a craigslist ad is no problem but just keep in mind if it is a great deal someone else may grab it... Try posting your question in the 100 series section of the forum and you may get more responses.

So I ran the carfax and the LC actually had close to 400k on it when it was last sold in June of 2016!

I'm guessing he rolled back the odometer somehow. I emailed him back about what I discovered and haven't gotten a response.

It's a shame people like this exist.
